If I could leave no stars I would. I have not been with this vet for a year - see my last review. However, before that incident, my cat had to have some dental work including removal teeth. Cost almost £800. Skip forward a year and Ozzy needs the same procedure for more teeth, in fact my wonderful new vet at Parkside vets did a more independent procedure by cutting the gum to ensure all tge tooth was removed, rather than just pulling them out and risking snapping it at the root. So this involved dissolvable stitches too. Cost with new vet? Almost half!!! £468. Insurance rarely covers dentistry work so 9 out of 10 times this is a cost to the owner. Same amount of teeth removed. Same anaesthetic. Same medicine afterwards. Just proves this vet rips people off. Read Less

Disgusting treatment by the female vet Allessandra. After speaking to me like a naughty school child for making my own decision that was best for my pet, then threatened not to take a staple that I was there to get removed from my cats foot because I was challenging her attitude. After finding a lump on Yogis side we made an appointment at the vets. They had been so good after Bongo died but after today we will never go back. As you all know our Yogi Bear is deaf and is 7 months old. At thw vets we were told in a very curt manner to stop him barking which i may add was playful. It was not in a very nice manner and felt us feeling very uncomfortable. It was due to another dog being put to sleep. I left to stand outside to whxih i was followed outaide by the staff member whi carried this on again. And went on ti state that the persob whose dog was getting put to sleep was pregnant. Patient confidentially broken... I was left in tears already worried about Yogi and the lump. I told them i would never go back. Animals bark when they are anxious nervous and plus deaf and young. Shocking experience... I complained about a charge I wasn't told about and it was justified by saying that other vets charge for an insurance claim, some even charge double... Bit like complaining at Tesco and them saying Asda charge the same, as do Sainsburys and Waitrise even charge more... I persisted with my complaint as my right as a consumer and was shown into one of the vetenary practice partners rooms. The partner I spoke to tried to justify the admin charge by saying that paperwork tied up a percentage of his time and that was why they had to charge... So, you pay 600 a year plus for insurance, you pay 75.00 per incident as an excess charge and the 690 you pay to have a few hairs zapped from his eyes, doesn't cover the paperwork hassle my claim generates. When complaining, my 6ft 6" and stocky build was labelled as 'intimidating'... Would he have been intimidated if I was black?... Had tattoos and a shaved head?... Was a biker with a bandana and a black leather jacket?...why can't they deal with a complaint as an individual, I didn't swear, shout or be aggressive, at best I raised my voice as I felt their way of dealing with a complaint was truly unprofessional and unacceptable. Next time I'll bring a Ronnie Corbett sized person with me so I can complain without making someone nervous... Customer service was and is shocking... This vet is awful, they failed to spot ringworm as they didn't do the right tests, gave us antibiotics, which did nothing and my dog got worse and worse. Visted them again and still not correctly diagnosed the ringworm, just said more antibiotics needed. Went to another vet surgery and straight away they did a fungal culture test and that showed it was actually ringworm, the test needed 2 weeks to identify the illness from this test, so all in all my pups was suffering 6 weeks before correct diagnosis and he was in pain. If Seaview knew what they were doing his suffering would have been lessened. The new vet I use gave us the right diagnosis and the right medicine, so my dog is healing well, whereas Seaview fobbed me off with more and more antibiotics, profit for them, pain for my dog. I would never use Seaview again, everyone local who I speak to say not to use this Vets, literally 4 strangers in the park walking dogs have told me horrible stories about the vets, once 2 in one day separately warned me off. I mean FFS, ringworm is so common and this vet didn't even offer the right test, pathetic. Furthermore, the surgery always looks filthy with blood and fluids on the inspection room floor, awful. I do not trust this vet. If I could leave a minus star rating I would. Please, consider getting a second opinion on their diagnosis, it's up to you, but this is my opinion based on using this excuse for a vets for more than a year and never finding their service very good before this incorrect diagnosis of ringworm finally made me go elsewhere, if I hadn't my poor dog would not be healing and I dread to think of the suffering he'd be going through as the ringworm would have got worse and no doubt spread. My cat came home injured middle of the day after been missing over the weekend. Rushed her to Jacksons Wirral vets - they were closed. I could see the lights on inside - I banged on the door but no one bothered to open. The Broadway vet had gone to their other practice and wouldn't be back for half an hour, so I rushed her to Seaview. Oh my goodness - Seaview were awesome! They dropped everything to help my cat. She had a broken back leg and broken bones in her face. They fixed all the bones the next day, kept her in for 4 days, and when she came home you could hardly tell she'd been injured at all. The vet showed me the X-rays - pins, wires and screws everywhere - don't know how they did it but wow! couldn't believe they could repair such small bones! Two weeks later, and after several more trips back to Seaview, my cat has fully healed. I can't thank Seaview enough!!! They were so caring. Absolutely disgusted in This vets have been taking my dog there for a while they have always cut his nails to short to the point of causing blood but today when I took him they took him in a separate room to "cut his nails" I could hear him crying the most painful cry ever so I started opening doors to look for him and found him being pinned down by the neck by 3 people while they hacked at his nails they threw him back at me and started to say he was vicious! He is a little chihuahua! He was covered in blood with two nails actually missing and the rest weren't even clipped they had ripped two of his nails out to the point he was covered in blood and then still expected me to pay! Phoned back up to ask them why they didn't sedate him and got screamed at and told not to come back! My dog has been shaking ever since and in a bad way with claws missing and the rest all in peices they are disgusting people who don't care about animals it is animal crultey would tell everyone not to go here Read Less

I would like to thank Seaview Vets for all of their help. Its been a heck of a fortnight with our cat, Pepper, who was rushed to Chestergates Referral with breathing problems. Long story short, we were given the wrong advice by Chestergates the next day, which caused Pepper's condition to worsen. Seaview Vets were very helpful, understanding and professional. This gave us peace of mind that Pepper was in good hands. I would especially like to thank Jenny (the surgeon) who went out of her way to help Pepper and kept us well informed throughout. Me and my fiancé are very thankful for all you have done. I know people are entitled to their opinion. But have any of the people posting negative reviews contacted them about your issue? You will be surprised how much can be resolved by actually speaking to them, rather than slandering them on the Internet. All in all, I totally recommend them. Thank you, Seaview Vets!Read Less

without a doubt the worst vets I have ever had the misfortune of attending. A much loved family pet started to lose a lot of weight and generally unwell. Advised by the vets to bring him back where they would need to perform ultra sound scans. On collecting the dog it was clear they had left the dog in a crate all day and had done the scan but the vet was unable to read the results as not competent to do so. They then wanted us to take the dog to Chester ( miles away) to a private clinic to undergo further scans at further expense to us. They mistreated the dog whilst he was in there care causing great distress and we obtained a refund through the bank as charged 165 for treatment they did not do. The owner Nigel Hough should be ashamed of the practice, as the indifference shown to us and the dog was stunning. I would not recommend this practice at all... Disgusting practice Read Less

We just got two kittens, and this the vet that we chose to use for them. We've only had our kittens a little while and we've already had to call the vet twice to ask some questions, and had to take one of the kittens in for a visit due to her being a little sick.We found these vets are very helpful, caring, and informative. When we called to ask questions about treating them for fleas, and some other questions, they told us everything we needed to know over the phone and it was so nice to get the info. we wanted so easily. When we took one of our kittens in, the vet was very good with her. (Despite the fact that our kitten really did not enjoy the experience! But then, what pet does like seeing the vet?) I would definitely recommend this vet. Read Less

I actually worked for the vets and honestly say the manager is concerned more with money than care. He with held my and several other staff members wages when I left and a tribunal judge awarded in my favour. My own dog was treated their and left an operation with a hole in top of her head that had not been stitched properly. She was in and out of there and undergone mixture of GA and sedation five times in a two week period.Read Less

i came in with my many pets many times with numerous problems and they were always helpful and did absolutely everything they could to help, they always informed me as much as possible as to what was going on and the prices are really cheap, i would recommend them to anyone. There was one time i did not understand what they were talking about and they explained it until i did. Andrew the nurse is lovely and kind and definitely the best veterinary nurse i have ever met!! Thank you seaview vets!!!Read Less

Disgusting practice Read Less

took a seagull to them went back 30 secs later only to see one of the male vets teasing a young female vet through the square section of the backdoor with it, she was squeeling because she is afraid of birds. these people are unfproffesional and do not respect the position of helping animals as much as they should, they told me 2 options for the bird, i then asked them what the procedure is it will go through if being treated, they told me they knew nothing of birds even though they live in a seaside area they choose not to meet the needs of the living things in that area by not being willing to gain that knoledge.just like lots of places these daysthere price often push people away, i mean 12 to cut 4 thumb nails on a dog? lool there waiting room is never full ses it all outpriced the service Read Less

Read Less
