Wish I could rate it lower. I brought my 6 month old female dog here to be spayed using dogs trust low neutering. Upon arriving at the vets I was greeted with an rude vet who proceeded to give my dog a needle, of which he called a 'tranquilizer' and then had me place her in a cold cage covered on newspaper. To me this was a red flag. When I arrived after to pick my dog back up I was greeted by my dog whose belly looked like it has been butchered, covered in blood showing it had not been cleaned after surgery (I have the picture to prove it).  Not wanting to cause a seen i left without complaining. Today I took her back for a post op check thinking the stiches would be taken out. He was once again rude and told me they'd be in for six more weeks, which to me does not sound correct and after asking a different vet said that that was too long, even if they are dissolvable. Therefore I have now had to book an appointment with a different vets to have the stitches removed next week as what he said was incorrect. I would highly suggest looking for a different vet as the whole experience has been shocking. Have my 2 cats and Dog registered here, Robin and the staff have always made me feel at ease when I have taken my poorly animals in to the surgery, nothing is too much for them and they always take time to explain things clearly, I have found them to be extremely caring for my animals and am glad that I changed my vet to come to this practice . We have been customers of Robin Lewis for many years and don't recognise the negative elements in the disparaging review. Robin and Tina have treated all our animals, both cats and dogs. Our children now take their animals there in total confidence that they will receive the best of treatment. It is inevitable that on occasion they will have to pass on bad news but that does not mean Robin and Tina lack compassion. We have never ever witnessed lack of compassion from the vets nor the nurses. Whilst the older parts of the building are a little tired, hardly surprising having regard to it's age, it is always spotlessly clean. I have always found the staff to be caring and most helpful on every occasion I have visited the practice. By far the worst vets I've come across. Showed no compassion to two 9 week old pups and even less to my sister their owner. Scare mongered and tried to imply my sister should consider getting rid of one of the pups due to a potential health problem. The vet was also misinformed about flea treatments. To top it off, the surgery was run down and dirty.Read Less

Wow, what a wonderful practice with very friendly staff. My beautiful 5 year old became very unwell , very sudden, Phoned the practice and they gave him an immediate appointment, Unfortunatley they discovered he had been poisened. The vet treated him wonderfully and tried her very best to save him. They treated him with love and respect and he looked so peaceful when i went to collect him to lay him to rest. they were so compasionate to my grief. Would recommend this practice to anyone whom truely love their pets and want them to have the best of care. Read Less
