This is the worst vets in the world. My dog got an mastitis after having puppies. Took her down there straight away soon as noticing the problem. The ‘vet’ charged me 300 for anti biotics. They wanted 800 for ‘hospitalisation’ I said no went pets at home got all the vitamins they were going to give her she’s doing fine now. The ‘vet’ told me to put the puppies back on the mum I said no I’ll bottle feed them. Glad I did the puppies then contacted the infection the ‘vet’ never told me to get the puppies checked all they asked was how are they doing I said fine as they were eating and getting bigger nothing more was said about the puppies and because I was advices to put them back on the mum I thought there was no problem. Now three puppies passed away because of their negligence. I am fuming I would never go there again and would’ve never advise anyone to go there. If you need a vet in Enfield go to happy vet on the a10 they sorted the rest of the puppies out go to happy vet. Read Less

Poor service at enfield medivet. Misdiagnosed my pet and tried to convince me my dog needed to undergo unnecessary surgery and charge thousands. Got a second opinion at different vet to have my pet treated on antibiotics. It also seems they have inexperienced staff that don’t know how to handle animals. Definitely do not recommend. Read Less

Had an emergency appointment which was fantastic. Only criticism was that I had to leave my pet while they gave him an injection. I'd have liked to stay with him as I was told that having the owner with them during injections makes the pet more anxious. Read Less

I've have been taking my cats to medivet for the last 20yrs. They have dealt with every scenario I've presented them with with the utmost professionalism, care and sincerity. I even received a sympathy card when an auto immune disorder took one over the rainbow bridge. The partners are such genuine helpful ladies and the receptionist always happy to help. They truly love animals. Yes they are expensive but all vets are. I insure my cats to ensure I can protect them when they're ill. Consider how costly private healthcare is for humans if you want clarity. Vets are pet doctors! I took my pet dog to this vet to be put to sleep which was a extremely difficult for me to do. I asked for him to be sedated as he was very nervous and had to wait 10 minutes for it to take effect which was heartbreaking and then my pet was taken into another room to insert a line for the injection he was then carried back in with a few puncture wounds on both front legs and the line inserted in his back leg. of which this was carried out by all i can think was a trainee. you would have thought they would have then got someone who was properly trained to do this after the 2nd or 3rd attempt but no he must of had at least 6 punctures on his front legs and that was minimum. Then the trainee attempted to administer the injection into his back leg with such force that the syringe burst it's contents over my dog myself and wife. It was a horrendous experience that will haunt us for a very long time. NOW THAT'S THE SORT OF CARE YOU CAN EXPECT FROM THIS SURGERY APPALLING All of that experience could have been avoided if a trained vet would have and should have been in charge of a procedure of this importance THAT'S HOW MUCH THEY CARE Read Less

Extortionately high charges for the service and poor conditions supplied. Charged 900 before any medical treatment even started. Charges based on a hefty estimate and no clear reconciliation at discharge. Dog still ill after discharge and follow-up visit. Vet spent more time on the estimate / costs than examining my very sick animal. Very young inexperienced staff. No continuity of staff. Too keen to dispense drugs and extras. I have been with medivet risedale for in excess of 10 years. I cannot rate them high enough for being friendly or caring. Their extremely helpful and they go that extra mile on many occasions. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and sadly I had to say goodbye to her in 2015. To her the vets was her second home and she loved going there. The whole process of saying goodbye was extremely hard but to their credit all the staff were brilliant in what was a very sad day and I know that they care so passionately about all the animals that cross their threshold. I now have another dog who I rescued and was nervous but after a couple of visits she now loves going there too. I consider myself very lucky to have such a wonderful team looking after my babies because that's exactly what they are and I am never worried about leaving them there because I know they will always look after them as if they were their own. My dog Molly had treatment in the Carpenders park branch for a lump on her eye, she had it removed all seemed good regarding payment from the insurance then I was asked for 54.74 extra, why I asked when I was covered and had paid my excess of 80, it seemed they went for a very expensive HISTOLOGY test rather than the 62.98, rather than asking me if this was alright they tried to get it of my insurers, and they said they will not cover it, as it was unnecessary. I then had a nasty letter from Medivet saying this can't continue, and payment had to be made !!!!!!!! , I had never received a letter from then about any money, so I rang the branch at Carpenders Park and asked what was going on, the receptionist took the message and said she will look into it, nothing happened, so a week later went it there and asked what was happening, she took a message and said she will get back to me, again nothing, then Anna was on holiday so another message was left, why should I pay extra money for something that was NOT neccary and no one at this branch knew why it was charged, was unhappy and think I will be taking my 2 dogs elsewhere for treatment as I feel the trust has gone which is a shame as I have been going there for 6 years Not happy at all, I know you have to make money but reallyRead Less

Called this vet to ask about using two different flea treatments, nurses confirmed its not ok but the manager said her nurses have made a mistake and that it is ok...They do not know what they are doing which is very worrying... Treated my dog for something completely different and missed my dogs actual problem. After i proved them wrong i asked for a refund and they refused... Very good service. We brought our dog, who was very ill to get a second opinion. They were very thoughtful and made an effort to hear the whole, long medical history and any suggestions, thoughts, worries we had. They were also very quick at leaving out any test, which were not necessary to reduce our costs and provided a discount out of their own initiative. They provided excellent care to our dog. Killed my kitten with drops she should not have had yet as she was too small and ill... They knew she was only 0.8kg product actually reads less than 2.5kg - I found out by googling googling it after the event - listless since we gave them - then gave up - a very short life which we paid them a four figure fortune for after she had an accident with a mirror - then to kill her with flea drops infuriates me... do not let them give yours this poisonous product. They took a 4 figure fortune to save her just weeks earlier when she knocked a mirror on her head so to take her life just a few weeks later with product she should not have had that has made many many animals react - infuriates me... when i got upset for them killing my kitten they told me to leave - nice handling... find another vet and DO NOT give advocate or broadline to your cats - google it and see what others say - she was apparently actually given broadline which gave her the reaction and killed her - steer clear of this.. even worse is the attitude of the vet - response to review "sorry you were dissatisfied" - seriously? And a senior partner who loves the sound of his own voice and wanted me to dig up my poor little kitten 2 days later... even worse - mind you shows where the vet who told me to leave got their training from... David at Medivet believes my comments are defamatory... I am allowed to say what has happened and what has been given and my own personal opinion... in which case I will NEVER recommend you use Medivet... there is plenty of choice... and try to find another way to protect your animals from flea issues.. google everything before your vet prescribes it - even if you do it on your phone before hand and question everything... Ruby, our Chihuahua, was taken ill with Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis (HGE). We could not fault the treatment she received and feel that without such care, we would not have her now. The 24hr attention was both professional and loving, not once did we doubt whether she was in the safest of hands.
