I have been using Blythwood a for many years now and have never been to a better vets with my dog (rescue staffie) and my cat. They always give the best care and are just lovely people. Hearing the recent news that Bradley Viner is retiring is a great shame, he has helped me and my family so much over the years. We sadly had to put our 16 year old spaniel down due to extremely ill health, Bradley (and the team) were very caring and gave us all the time we needed. This is the best vets practice I have ever taken my cats to. The staff all care greatly about the animals they treat and they all go the extra mile to ensure the animals get the very best treatment. On one occasion, one of my cats was in overnight with a "lampshade" collar on and got distressed because he couldn't wash his own face. The nurse on duty washed it gently for him - just amazing care. Visited the Bushey branch for the first time today with my huge Maine Coone cat, George, it was a Sunday, and we saw Charlotte. She was amazing!!! George won't normally go near strangers, but he relaxed straight away, and laid down on the table for Charlotte. The service we received was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door, lovely receptionist (sorry, didn't get your name), til the moment we left. So glad we came to you. I wouldn't take my dog Max anywhere else. We've used Blythwood for years, they're onto our 3rd dog I think now and many years ago Bradley used to look after my horse. We have been known to call them late at night when we have a worry and they are always patient no matter how silly our questions! And for the bigger stuff like when our dog passed away, they handled that beautifully as well. I rang the Stanmore surgery yesterday evening asking if I could have a home visit for my 16 yr old dog, Dan turned up at 10.30 this morning and gave a thorough examination, we took her for a little walk to check her gait and wobbly back legs. Dan then went through all our options but reassured me she didn't have any significant neurological symptoms, and is was probably overdoing it and cold weather aggravating her arthritis. He gave her an injection of cartrophen, which I will follow up over the next month....but, she has made a huge turnaround, when 'dad' came home her tail was wagging, no limping and then spent over 2 hrs stalking a fox in the garden!!! Brilliant service, brilliant Dan and how lovely he was with her and no lectures on her tubby belly, which we are well aware of and trying to reduce but she is an old lady and deserves a few luxuries. Thank you Dan and Louise for helping my little old lady so quickly, efficiently and with care and compassion. You're worth every penny I hope you enjoy the chocolates I left for you. This is the best vet practice I have ever been to. The vet who sees my dog, Dan is so warm and gentle with her. He obviously cares about animals an awful lot and it shows in the care he provides. It is always easy to get an appointment, appointments always seem to run on time and the receptionists offer good advice over the phone. I would recommend this vet practice to everybody! Read Less

Excellent vet practice - all the staff are wonderfully welcoming, caring and friendly. They provide great care for my two cats. I used to use another local vet practice with my previous cat but switched to Blythwood after I got two kittens through the RSPCA. Just wanted to say a huge Thank you to the whole of the Bushey team and in particular to Daniell and Barry for the care and concern they showed during the long process of fixing Riley Eustace after he came off worst in his argument with a car. Right from the begining when he was first admitted as an out of hours emergency, Riley received the best that could be hoped for and I think it would be fair to say that Dan is an excellent addition to the team. My cat Busta was mauled by a dog 8 weeks ago. Everyone at Blythewood have been outstanding, going above and beyond to help him get better. Having just returned from Moldova - where you may ask - where I saw many a skinny waif looking dog I was reminded how lucky we are in the UK to have vets like Blythwood around. My heavily spoilt spaniel was born with rather random hips and had to have surgery last year . The vets at Blythwood were brilliant at both helping Beau and his anxious mistress through the surgery and long difficult recovery period.
