Please look at the ratings for this business as that is what it is before ever thinking of using them .My dog died as a result of giving me an inexperienced one year qualified vet(charging me the same price as an experienced vet of course)and a ten minute appointment after being in emergency the day before . I then had a very ill cat and I used pawsquad who are excellent but he needed a hospital and I was forced to put him to Braid vets surgery . They took him for three nights until I insisted on taking him home . He hadn't eaten anything when I got him back still emaciated and stressed and shaved bits all over his poor body and I had to wait almost an hour in the waiting room my dog collapsed in until a vet came out . They never sent his test results and charged me £850 for the privalige. I got pawsquad back to rehydrate him at a cost of £100(that was two 45 minute visits) and I drip fed him myself for two weeks night and day and now he is fine. Always ask for an experienced vet( you are paying over £30 remember) I wish to god I had never let them just give you a vet Read Less

Really upset angry and disappointed. My dog died and was quoted £400 and then after a week was told it was £600 this is disgusting practice and tried to make it out that wasn’t including the ashes which I am supposed to get once I have paid. I am so upset and we have been crying about how they have treated us and it’s not nice and I don’t even want to go up there and collect the ashes now. Kate was really not nice and the practice manager her tone wasn’t great either. Isla andrhe axtual vey staff were lovely so it’s not nice when this then happens. Overall bad experience awaiting to hear taped phone conversation as they state that wasn’t included. I paid extra for private cremation and yen but not another £200 if what was not made clear - disgusting Read Less

Not impressed at all. We had to take our dog to them for out of hours emergency appointment as he had really bad pain and couldn't walk on his back legs. We have been told by phone that the fee for the consultation will be £140. When we arrived there it went up to £170. When we phoned next day to say we are going to take him back and asked for the bill, it was £370. We arrived there an hour later only to be told that our bill is £470. What have changed in an hour time? Noone could explained it. They agreed to take the £100 off but weren't able to explain where all these chargers came from. Not even mentioning that our dog didn't have any basic tests included in the price. We were shocked by the way he looked when we took him back. He was kept on very strong painkillers that he couldn't even recognised us. He looked worst than when we brought him there. I would never go there again unless I don't have different option. I was with this vet practice because of their emergency service and the surgical department. Both my dogs came here and saw various vets over several years. One vet is really nice and gentle (tall guy, Michael) but the others I found lacking in areas such as communicating with people [I don't get the sense they enjoy what they do] and pets. One regularly insisted on putting a muzzle on my tiny dog that didn't have the jaw strength or teeth to harm him, which did nothing to calm her or ease her fears, he didn't seem to have the time or inclination to try other less stressful options. My other dog developed allergies and they recommended food which they stock [I got it cheaper elsewhere] that turned out to be awful and had my dog going at both ends, with blood. it is not the first time this brand of food has given my dogs a dodgy tummy despite being a 'sensitive' diet, plus it is made from soy, a known allergen. I have since changed vets and found the new one to be cheaper and all of vets much friendlier both towards people and pets. I would say that the E vet service is usually staffed by other vets than ones from Braids, it is also expensive but worth it for emergency treatment. Read Less
