ok here it is.driving along vogue road and spotted sothing in the middle of the road so i stopped to see what it was.it was a big lovely healthy squirrel it appears to had a bit of a knock on the head was abit wobbly on his or her feet so i took the squirrel to this vet got to the desk with my two kids and this squirrel. stood there for about 5mins why this women was on the phone then eventually she spoke to me.i handed the squirrel over to her and was told i would get a phone call for updates did not happen so i phoned got a women on the phone she did not have a clue about anything so i left my name and number to get back to me.the next day i did get a phone call telling me the squirrel is ok had a hit to the side of the head eye.they told me they gave the squirrel pain relief to help.so i was very happy and so was my 2 kids.then i big bomb shell hit me.they did some research to see if it could be let go? hmmm ok only to be told it was the law that they could not let the squirrel go? because of the so called law.witch they must class as vermin some way along that line.red tailed be ok.ermm wait a min they live in the trees so i dont understand why there vermin? dont bother anyone.vets are there to help? but not in this case.if i knew they be like that i would of took my own chances and helped it my self.now i need to lie to my kids that the healthy squirrel has been returned home.i expected to take it back in the woods were it came from now me and my kids won't get that chance.very disgusted with this. vets are there to help and save well thats is a statement to think about! I can't thank the surgery enough for all they have done for Mika, the greyhound who had a badly broken hock. I've never met Chris or Amy but I've spoken to Chris on the phone and Mika's foster mum, Jen, has been fantastic taking him back and forward for bandage changes and looking after him so well. Very sadly one of our cats had to be put down last week. It was our first visit to the practice and Rory could not have been nicer or more caring. I have used these vets for neuturing both my dogs (bitch & dog) and can highly recommend them as they are absolutely brilliant . The staff are so lovely and friendly and are good with the animals they treat and the vets take time to explain procedures without making you feel like a dummy. Big thank you to the Loanhead staff for being wonderful with Rudi who was in today for neuturing . Thank you so much to every single staff member. You looked after our girl Millie Howden and got her back on the mend in such a short time.
