My dear little elderly dogs health had deteriorated and I knew it was time to let her go. My daughter and I were crying as we took Daisy into the vets. The vet was kind and said she needed a canula in. Daisy was taken to another room to have this done. Then I was asked "Do you want to pay now or after it is done?". How cruel and insensitive is that? Sobbing my heart out and wa asked about payment! I'd used this vets before and have never not paid a bill. Before the practice was taken over, this never, ever happened. When our rescue cats had needed the same, I was told, "Don't worry about payment, we'll sort that out later". They cared about the owners as well as their pets. Shame on whoever brought this policy into force!

The team at Glaven are excellent and always welcoming and friendly. They care for your pet as much as you do and know how attached we all get to them and know that our pets really are part of our families.
Our latest addition Beau, a nearly 3 yr old Golden Lab, had developed a problem with her ears and upon calling Glaven I was attending an appointment within 30 mins.
As this was during lock-down social distancing rules were adhered to and these were very clear and were well thought out and executed and the vet took superb care of Beau and she was calm throughout. Problem with her ear quickly identified and a solution put into place.
An all round superb team.

We took our rescue springer spaniel (we’ve only had her a week) to have her health check and vaccinations today. The staff from reception to vet, all made a real fuss of her and gave her lots of treats to make the visit a pleasant experience. I took my poorly cat to see Bridget, on Monday, and was devastated to learn she had feline leukaemia. She was really really poorly. Bridget was so lovely, caring, and honest. She took the time to explain what she thought was wrong, and kept her in for blood tests. Unfortunately, Bridget rang back later to say how very poorly she was, and what did we want to do. Obviously we didn't want her to suffer anymore, so she was put to sleep. A few days later, we received a card from Bridget. It was so lovely of her to do this. We would like to thank her, and all the staff for there kindness and compassion. I think they do an amazing job, even if sometimes it's so awful for them and the pets owners.

We recently had to have our 14yr old Old English Sheepdog put to sleep. Glaven made the whole experience as pleasant as it could be. They came out to us and we're so professional. We had our lovely boy put to sleep laying in his favourite spot in the garden in the sun. I couldn't have asked for anything more from them.

Not only do I adore everyone I have encountered at this truly wonderful vets and how fantastically they treat my fur-babies but they haven't lost sight of caring for ALL animals, pets and wildlife. I have never been so happy to hand my hard earned money over to someone else. In May we had taken a little hedgehog we found wondering around a garage forecourt with one eye hanging out to another (closer) local vets, who when asked said they were going to put it down (standard procedure for wild animals?!?). I called Glaven's, explained the situation and they said bring it in. As soon as we arrived it was whipped strait into be seen. I've just received a call saying it is a she and is ready to go home, with her babies. She was pregnant when we found her....... A huge thank you and well done to the team, your kindness saved a family. :-) xXx

I would like to praise glaven especially Ellen who gave the best of care to my cat at the weekend i brought him in as an emergency Saturday night and was kept informed of his condition,everything possible was tried and given to help him and although the outcome was the worst possible it was made easier knowing the staff did all they could,they also brought him home to wells from holt for me he is now at peace,I would recommend this practice to any pet owner especially for their care and commitment thank you from tiggers family

Harry has seen most of the vets over several years and Michael and Charlotte are exceptionally good with him. The reception staff are always helpful and polite

I took my poorly cat to see Bridget, on Monday, and was devastated to learn she had feline leukaemia. She was really really poorly. Bridget was so lovely, caring, and honest. She took the time to explain what she thought was wrong, and kept her in for blood tests. Unfortunately, Bridget rang back later to say how very poorly she was, and what did we want to do. Obviously we didn't want her to suffer anymore, so she was put to sleep. A few days later, we received a card from Bridget. It was so lovely of her to do this. We would like to thank her, and all the staff for there kindness and compassion. I think they do an amazing job, even if sometimes it's so awful for them and the pets owners.

We recently had to have our 14yr old Old English Sheepdog put to sleep. Glaven made the whole experience as pleasant as it could be. They came out to us and we're so professional. We had our lovely boy put to sleep laying in his favourite spot in the garden in the sun. I couldn't have asked for anything more from them.

Not only do I adore everyone I have encountered at this truly wonderful vets and how fantastically they treat my fur-babies but they haven't lost sight of caring for ALL animals, pets and wildlife. I have never been so happy to hand my hard earned money over to someone else. In May we had taken a little hedgehog we found wondering around a garage forecourt with one eye hanging out to another (closer) local vets, who when asked said they were going to put it down (standard procedure for wild animals?!?). I called Glaven's, explained the situation and they said bring it in. As soon as we arrived it was whipped strait into be seen. I've just received a call saying it is a she and is ready to go home, with her babies. She was pregnant when we found her....... A huge thank you and well done to the team, your kindness saved a family. :-) xXx

I would like to praise glaven especially Ellen who gave the best of care to my cat at the weekend i brought him in as an emergency Saturday night and was kept informed of his condition,everything possible was tried and given to help him and although the outcome was the worst possible it was made easier knowing the staff did all they could,they also brought him home to wells from holt for me he is now at peace,I would recommend this practice to any pet owner especially for their care and commitment thank you from tiggers family
