Recently registered all my pets at the Driffield practice and have paid them a number of visits so far for various reasons. The staff are very pleasant and friendly, however, the pricing of procedures are not consistent from one week to the next. Within 6 days the same blood test for our cats varied by 17. There was no explanation for this and I only discovered the difference on checking the receipts upon my return home. Suffice to say I am not very happy and will endeavour to find out what exactly is going on. I have a number of pets and their health comes first but I don't like being ripped off and at the moment it seems that Priory vets are doing just that. Read Less

My cat had a abscess and I took her in to be seen.. They checked her over and asked if I would like to first try the antibiotics or if I would like surgery... I said first I would like to try the antibiotics to which they offered me tablet form or an injection so for less stress on me and my cat I said the injection.... That night she didn't seem herself thought she was just sulking but when she really wasn't herself in the morning I rang the vets they got my in the same day.... She had a high temperature and they admitted her there and then for the operation to drain it... I collected her the same day and she is due for her check up tomorrow... She is back to being my fun loving excite able 8 year old cat instead of army crawling and hiding everywhere... She's my baby and I thought it was gonna be bad news but priory vets were amazing and will forever be emotionally grateful to the hard work of their staff XRead Less

Took my cat to be checked as he had an infected wound on his neck. The vet took him to another room for the nurse to clean the wound, when she returned with my cat she had shaved the cats face down to bare skin which has irritated the cat resulting in him scratching the wound breaking the bare skin, injected him with painkillers and antibiotics after me asking for the antibiotics in tablet form as he hadn't reacted well to them in the past. I would have liked to have been asked what treatment I was happy for my cat to receive before being faced with a bill just short of 100 for treatment I was not happy for him to have and don't believe needed the majority. We have since moved vets after checking reviews and prices with them to find it would have been half the cost and we would also have been informed as to what treatment they wanted to give the cat before actually doing it. It is no longer about caring for the animal it is all money, money, moneyRead Less

The service both myself and my pets have received from Priory Veterinary Group has been excellent. We are always made welcome and advice is given freely. Sue one of the receptionists recognised us by name and also welcomed my dogs too by name. She really is an asset to the practice :-) The vets are good with the dogs and the practice nurses too are really helpful. Advice is given re weight as loving owners we often indulge our pets sometimes we need friendly advice as to how to get weight down and free weight sessions are offered with the practice nurses. I have benefited from this and most importantly so have our dogs. When I lost my beloved dog Milly last year, they enabled her to pass with dignity and compassion for ourselves allowing us to stay with her until we were ready to leave her. All the staff were so kind and encouraged us to put her picture and a few words in a memory book when she was returned back home to us. They shared in our grief and understood the bond between animal and human. As a newcomer to Bridlington having retired here some four years ago I can recommend this practice and as long as I am able physically to care for my animals will rely on them to give me the best advice balanced to the needs of the animal in my care and they listen as we the owners know when our animals are out of sorts and they respect that. It means a lot!Read Less
