I would like to express my gratitude to the staff at Park Street hospital who loved and cared for my pet Labrador Will. Upon arrival is walking was impaired and following surgery he still had complications and his recovery has been slow. However, little by little there are positive steps of improvement and his progress is getting better. I would like to express my gratitude particularly to the surgeon David. With all due respect I should call him Mr Robinson. If there was ever a man worthy of credit it is this man. His professionalism and care is a credit to the profession tbe hours this man must put in not only demonstrates his commitment. He is articulate and yet can communicate at every level, he goes above and beyond for the welfare of pets and particularly my precious Labrador. So thank you all and in his humility I understand that he would say that it is a team effort. So thank you and if anyone is considering using this hospital for their pets I assure you that you are in good and capable hands. Read Less

I have used Kingston Vets Cottingham for a number of years now. I first moved to them because they offered 24/7 cover with their own vets. This is no longer the case but they are open for emergency treatment until late evening. I have a number of dogs ranging from 2 years to 14 years and have always received excellent care and consideration from the Vets, Nurses and Reception staff. Their hospital facilities at Park Street appear to be very good and here again I have always received good care for the dogs and clear information on their various injuries and illnesses. On more than one occasion I have had to call on them at short notice due to accidental injury and they have always attended to my dogs promptly. When it has come to let a dog go to Rainbow bridge, they have shown consideration and compassion, even coming to my home on one occasion to help a dog who was afraid of travel. I currently have a dog who needed to visit Park Street for tests. During the test the Vet contacted me to explain what he had and hadn't found and to advise that he needed to do a further test. The information was given clearly. I saw the same vet later in the day and he clearly explained what the findings could indicate. The next ten days waiting for the results to come back from the lab have been worrying but when they came through I received a phone call to advise the findings and follow up treatment. So thanks to all. I really appreciate your efforts on behalf of my "family" Had another emergency- dogs - who would have them🐶. Called Kingston and got an appointment for 30 mins later. Thanks again Kingston. Read Less

I have been a client of Kingston Vets for many years. Three years ago one of my Yorkshire Terriers was dangerously Ill with Pancreatitis and the vets battled to save her life. The care the staff gave her was excellent. They explained everything in simple terms so we could understand. The staff also are very supportive during the sad times. Last year I had to have another Yorkshire Terriers euthanised as she suffered a cluster of seizures and, despite the excellent efforts of the vets, she wouldn't come out of them. It was heartbreaking but the staff were very supportive. I will always speak highly of the staff at Kingston Vets and I will recommend them to anyone who asks Read Less

Took on my daughter-in-law's dog over 4 years ago - a Border Terrier - not long after his brother died. Oscar has been a great companion for me, very well supported by the Kingston Vets, mainly in Cottingham but also at Park Street. He has Cushings disease, Fibroids in his lungs and ... but I have never come away from the Vets feeling that I've not been given good advice and that he has been treated to a high standard. People say they are after money, money, money well on occasions I've gone to see them, on follow-up visits, and not been charged as they've not needed to do anything. It is sad that some pet owners and Vets do not "get on" and this can cause friction, but that's life. Unfortunately my 14 year old dog is at the end of his life but, if I decided to have another dog, I'd have no hesitation in having him treated at Kingston Vets. Read Less

They explain things in a simple way and not bombard you with technical terms. They clearly have a passion and love for animals which comes across in the treatment room. We moved to Kingston vets around a year ago after we heard from family and colleagues how friendly & helpful the staff are and how clean the surgery always are. Whilst we wearnt unhappy with our previous vets we didn't feel we got the same experience we had been told about at Kingston vets. Upon registering we were not disappointed and our pets l were greeted and welcomed. In the last 6 months we have had increased communication and appointments with the surgery for various reasons. We sadly lost our eldest dog 5 months ago after an accident and rushed her straight to the surgery who were accommodating, reacted at light speed and were amazing and helpful throughout. The week following this our 6 month old puppy had an appointment to be spayed, all the staff were aware of our situation and again made us feel at ease and were very helpful and supportive. We now have another puppy who as been spayed by the surgery who have be again helpful, informative and caring at all times. Our first experience with the 24hr service at park street was recently and again all staff were brilliant. Whilst with our previous vets we were lucky enough to only have been for annual injections I cannot imagine that the last 6 months of very regular visits would have been the same if our dogs had not been cared for by the Kingston vets and nurses. The attention and care they give is amazing. I cannot recommend the staff highly enough they are all friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much. The customer service is fab and the surgery is always spotless. Thank you to all the staff who have helped us and kept our puppies tales wagging!Read Less

What can i say about this vets. World class, took my pet to them. My cat was very ill and had many test done on it to try and diagnose the problem. Couldn't actually find what was wrong to start with but the vet carried on with test's to find out what was wrong with her. He treated my cat like it was one of his own. Even coming in on his day off to check on her. It was a unique case for my cat but the vets were determined to find out what was wrong with her. The attention to detail is world class as well. Calling me with regular updates on my cat (Pedro) and to tell me what was going on. We have pet insurance and they never chased up the form for the treatment until the treatment was coming to an end. Obviously a Vet who puts the animal before financial gains. As the vet felt like my second home at times the staff are welcoming and put you at ease. Like wise with the vet who dealt with our case to other vets who stepped up to the mark when the main vet who was dealing with my cat was not there. They sort all your insurance claim out for you once you hand in your form and there was no issues with that either. I have all my cats with this vet and i am glad i do. You cant look anywhere else i do believe that will be better than Kingston Vets and if i could i would give them more than five stars. Read Less

We have used Kingston Veterinary Group quite often since we got our dog, Rufus. We mainly use the Beverley Road branch but have used the Park Street branch on numerous occasions. We have seen a few wonderful locum vets here as well as regular vets and only had one unpleasant experience with a locum that we have not seen since. Rufus suffers with incredibly horrid allergies and they are trying to do the best they can to relieve his itching. Dr Robinson is still trying to find the best treatment for him and is very understanding - what an amazing vet! Rufus has also had numerous overnight stays (once after eating some grapes) and I feel that he was well looked-after. Rufus has surgery coming up soon, and while I am very nervous, I would not trust Rufus with any other veterinary surgery. Kingston Veterinary Group use Vets Now to cover out of hours emergencies, so you know you always have someone on standby should your pet need care in the middle of the night. The phone is manned 24 hours so you can ring out of hours for advice, which is very reassuring. Now if we could just get the customers to use the designated cat waiting areas we could resolve much of the stress that our pets feel while waiting. Read Less

I have been using this vets for a while and I think they're fantastic and friendly. Always been helpful. My dog went in for surgery today for a simple procedure and I felt they gave me plenty of information about the procedure and turned out to be less expensive then originally priced. My only issue is that even though I provided the number to contact myself on today so the dog could be collected, they called the number on the account so no one knew what had happened all day to him and they didn't think to ring the number on his collar or scan him to contact someone about this which I found a bit strange; but they may have just been busy. The service is always welcoming and they are easy to get hold of and flexible when needed. My only issues are small niggles from experience such as I specifically asked if I owed anything for a consultation and they said no and then called me 3 days later to state I still hadn't paid for the last consultation. And I often find you're charged for consultation to check if treatment is working and 9 times out of 10 you already know whether it is or not so I find it a bit expensive. But they have clinics all over so very accessible. Read Less

All the staff , reception, nurses and the vets themselves are professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Unfortunately we had to put her to sleep, the staff made the whole process as easy and respectful for both us and the hound as they possibly could. My cat is now ill and doesn't have long left with us.

Read Less

As an adult I take my pets to Kingston Vets. At first, when David Terry sold the practice I was concerned about the quality of care given to my pets. I didn't need to be. All the staff are terrific.

Read Less

Having lived in various areas in and around York and now in Hull, Kingston is by far the best vet I have used for my dogs and my cat in both areas!! All the staff , reception, nurses and the vets themselves are professional, friendly and extremely helpful. I had to have my greyhound admitted last year and the staff let us take stuffies, blankets and food in to help make her as comfy as possible, and it was very reassuring to know she was receiving the best possible care. Unfortunately we had to put her to sleep, the staff made the whole process as easy and respectful for both us and the hound as they possibly could. My cat is now ill and doesn't have long left with us.
