I've taken many pets to Alma over the years, and adopted 2 cats through their RSPCA affiliation. All the staff have always been great and it is great to see a low turnover of them - some very familiar faces remain. Yesterday, we had to have our beloved Jeffery (ginger cat) euthanised. Mr Timms knew Jeffery was only young and how upset we were. He'd done all he could to help Jeff and us but it was finally time to say goodbye. The compassion and gentleness he showed us was very much appreciated and a horrible event was made easier by Mr Timms being very honest with us. Quite difficult to 'review' a vets sugery - everyone knows what kind of things they offer, after all, but this surgery has taken care of my dogs for the last few years, so I feel like it deserves a recommendation. The staff are very good, genuinely concerned, very helpful and capable. The vets themselves are honest, friendly and will give you the advice they feel is best for your animal. They offer all the services you'd expect to find - from open surgeries to specific appointment times, and will help all your household pets - cats, dogs, rabbits and so on. They also offer a cat rehoming service which a friend has used in the past and would reccommend. The prices they charge are pretty much the industry standard, but, as I've outlined above, the service is superb. I;ve used this surgery for almost five years and will continue to do so as long as I'm living in the town. Read Less

Read Less
