Edgemoor Veterinary Practice is a well established 100% small animal practice providing high quality veterinary care for dogs (pet, working and show), cats, rabbits and other exotics throughout Ryedale and beyond.
All members of the practice team are dedicated to providing a friendly, caring and professional service based on continuity of care which can be hard to achieve in a larger practice.
The practice operates from modern purpose built premises in Helmsley with branch surgeries in Pickering and Kirkbymoorside and has been inspected by the RCVS and complies with their standards for a General (Tier 2) Small Animal Practice. Committed to staff education the practice is also a Veterinary Nurse Training Centre.
We operate our own out of hours emergency service at our main Helmsley branch. If you have any concerns about your pet call any of our practices and you get though to one of our vets.

My partner and I would like to say a huge thank you to Edgemoor Vets for their superb care for our cat Billy. After his appointment, which was quick and efficient, he sadly got out of his cat carrier ...
My partner and I would like to say a huge thank you to Edgemoor Vets for their superb care for our cat Billy. After his appointment, which was quick and efficient, he sadly got out of his cat carrier and went missing behind the vets. I sadly wasn't there to look at first but my partner says that the staff there all tried their absolute hardest to find him, which we did two days later! What exceptional service to go out of their way and help us and give us their time. The vet even said that she would help us at 5pm on a Saturday if we needed anything (after hours). We are so glad we took Billy here even if it didn't end quite to plan! We are so happy to have him home now. Thank you to all the staff at Edgemoor vets you do an amazing job.

Just gotten my chihuahua Marcus back from edge moor vets in helmsley. Would like to say after the spree of dissapointing and mostly horrifying interactions with other vets that i would not be taking m...
Just gotten my chihuahua Marcus back from edge moor vets in helmsley. Would like to say after the spree of dissapointing and mostly horrifying interactions with other vets that i would not be taking my pets anywhere else now. Very professional and it was obvious that they cared about his welfare. Thank you!

Today Indy our Beagle decided to climb into the feed bin and have a party ... She had eaten so much she looked ready to pop so off to Edgemoor we went ... After an X-ray and an afternoon of being sick...
Today Indy our Beagle decided to climb into the feed bin and have a party ... She had eaten so much she looked ready to pop so off to Edgemoor we went ... After an X-ray and an afternoon of being sick she's home and safe .... For more than 20 years George Skinner and his Team have taken care of our Dogs and us too ... I wouldn't consider taking my Dogs anywhere else and I can't recommend them enough ... Many Thanks Edgemoor ... What would we do without you
