We took our dog Skye here as Tim was recommended for an emergency c section due to Skye not been well & our usual vet couldn’t fit in the emergency. Skye was sent home after 40 minutes and then the problems started. Her wound looked like it had been sewn up by a child. Contacted Tim on several occasions and he wasn’t bothered, just said to put cream on it despite raw skin on show. also, Skye wasn’t looking after her puppy’s as she should and gradually the puppies faded away. Little did we know, 16 days later skye gave birth to a puppy naturally (dead & it had rotted inside her) … how was it possible that an experienced surgeon (as per his website) missed a fully grown puppy during a routine procedure which he performs often? No wonder Skye couldn’t mother her puppies - she was still pregnant! She’s lucky to be alive. Absolutely 100% advice to avoid this place! Since this has happened , we have heard so many more bad reviews from this place. Read Less

I got recommended by the RSPCA(wonderful charity by the way) to use this vets and my blue cross had expired. I made an appointment for a couple of days later. I got to the vets and mr stead Told us to come through so we did and he gave my dog an injection and told us to come through to reception and he said “that will be £90 please” I’m like “EXCUSE ME?” “I’m on blue cross” he said it has expired so I said I’ll renew it. He said “oh but you have to pay for the treatment I’ve given your dog today otherwise you will never be allowed to use this surgery again” I am also on benefits. I would have been willing to pay on a monthly basis till the balance was paid off. So I was stuck and had to pay the £90 (which I thought was going to be £30 for a blue cross renewal which was an expense I can’t afford at the moment) so £90 which I paid has now put me in financial difficulty for the rest of the month I now have 3 weeks to go with very little money while big bucks (mr stead is sat in his £1m house driving his lambo at £500/hour extortionate charges) I also checked online and I can buy the medication (with vet approval) for less than £5 for 100 tablets.(why the mark up?) this is a con. How can we as humans go to the shop and spend 50p on paracetamol for a headache but if my dog gets a headache it’s £100 for 1/week worth of tablet where is the sense in that it’s a complete con for pet owners who are living on the breadline and then have to fork out half of my monthly benefits for one procedure.
