A Vet Nurse that works at Abington park vets in Northampton named JANE ROWE is guilty of killing one of my beautiful cats due to negligence in the recovery stage of his castration operation she left him at the most critical time to go on her lunch break not even staying with him for 5 minutes when this is the most dangerous time where her duty by law is to be vigilant , she has been found guilty of not even filling in medical paperwork properly by the RCVS to whom I reported her to for the death of my beautiful cat who was only 6 years old and who went in for such a simple procedure, when I requested an interview with her to discuss my concerns she was rude and showed no empathy whatsoever with no compassion or remorse that her actions led to his death!
She now has marks against her record for years but I doubt this will make any difference to her attitude towards her work nor towards animals,
If you take your pets here your are risking their lives with people who do not care about their wellbeing, if anything does go wrong they will not care about your feelings but only try to cover it up!
This women should not be aloud to practice as a Veterinarian Nurse and if anyone has had any similar issues I would encourage them to report her to the RVCS as she is now on their radar and very nearly got struck off the register! The only reason she didn’t was because she came up with a false witness statement months later which was clearly orchestrated to save her job!
If anyone has any concern you could also contact me directly and I can direct you to the necessary avenues to seek help, I would never want anyone to go through this pain but most of all any other animal to suffer the way my beautiful loving boy did.
This practice should be closed down as I see there are quite a lot of negative reviews, they are not fit to practice nor should you place your trust in them. STAY AWAY!!!!

They are overpriced, terrible customer service, rude, you cannot get through on the telephone and can be on hold 30 minutes and then get cut off and then have to call back and hold again.They ignore email correspondence.Do not address issues which then leads to complaints which they ignore and then when your left with no choice but to register your pet after 18 years at another vets. they ignore all communication to transfer your pets records. I would not recommend this vets.There is much better vets in Northampton. I am so glad our pets are with the vets they are now, they out shine this poor practise. Please avoid this practise they don’t have your pets best interests at heart.

On Friday 27th September it was with a heavy heart that I needed to say goodbye to my lovely dog of 16.5 years as he had a terrible fit earlier and I wanted a peaceful end for him and spare him from any further pain.
After a long anxious wait the vet came in to euthanise him and explained all of the things that could possibly happen... but he did not mention anything about what we were about to experience. He administered half the syringe... My dog was screaming in pain, shaking and was in no way peaceful at all! He had not administered the whole dose and so my dog was in terrible pain for what seemed like ages! People came rushing into the room because all they could hear was my dog yelling so loudly! He finally administered the last of the dose and finally my dog was out of agony! The vet then checked his heart and said he’s gone and left the room with zero explanation. This is not the first time I had to say goodbye to a dog so I knew this was not normal.
As you know as a pet owner this is one of the hardest decisions to make to say goodbye to a pet and it is so sad but I will never ever forget my dogs cries and I feel I have failed him for what these people did to him. I have made a complaint because I know something had gone very wrong which would have been backed up by their CCTV but they will not admit they did something wrong or not even given an apology. I would just like to warn people because I wouldn’t like this to happen to anyone else’s beloved pet. I have since taken my other dog from this vet practice.
I would NEVER recommend this vet!

I basically have to pay hundreds of pounds for all three dogs to get a checkup, just to get worming tablets. I could've told them the weights and we've been registered there years. Capitalist American vets, here we come. No thank you. Blatantly conning the UKs public for their love of dogs.
Just order drontal online and don't fall for the scaremongering to extort more money from you.

I used this vets after bad service at a different one. This vets is clean and professional. When one of my cats was killed by a car, the driver brought it here to be scanned. They phoned me and broke the sad news. They let me spend valuable time with him on two occasions and helped me arrange his cremation. They are a good price compared to other vets and have good opening hours, availability of appointment.

Brought my dog Teddy in yesterday as an emergency appointment after he sliced his paw open and rushden vets directed me here as out of hours. The staff were brilliant especially the reception staff. Teddy was given a quick appointment and took out back to get ready for his op (stitches), I was given clear aftercare instructions and medication to last a couple of days and despite us both being there all day they kept him in till they were happy he was safe to come home. I rang rushden vets today to book his post op checkup for Wednesday and they had already received his records. Worth every penny in my opinion. Thank you for taking care of Teddy.

I was super impressed with this practise, Scobie came in as a referral for laryngeal paralysis and had to have a tieback. Jeremy Onyett who performed this took the time the time to explain every detail of the condition and made my understanding much clearer. Scobie has made good recovery and back to his bouncy self. I would highly recommend Abington Park Vets. Over the past 12 years we have been to all their locations, but mostly to the one off Wellingborough Road. After 11 years of routine visits and only minor health problems, our dog was diagnosed with diabetes at the beginning of 2016. The care provided and the approach by vets, nurses and admin staff has been great, professional, pro-active and caring about our dog. The fact that the practice is open 24/7 is reassuring to us. Our dog is nervous with strangers and was a bit traumatised by the sudden frequency of vet visits and treatments, so the flexibility such larger practice offers is that you can try which vet your pet is most comfortable with. We have found this to be the vet Hans. This does not take away from the support given by other vets after Mr. Edwards, the vet we saw most over the years retired. I also like the fact that the practice is attached to Moulton College, there seems to be continuous training and very up-to-date information of treatments, which means that you find an approach of outside the box thinking where standard treatment may not work. On Facebook I like that your page supports local pet owners in case their pets are missing. What I would like to see more is info on services that you offer that may or may not be on your website.

Jeremy Onyett treated our little cat after she had been knocked over. She had broken both of her front legs. Our own vet had told us that she was likely to lose one of her legs, as the damage to the shoulder joint was so extensive, but referred us to this practice for a specialist opinion. He saved her leg, and supervised her recovery with great care. She is now fully recovered, and running around with only the slightest limp.
She's only a little moggy, but very much loved, and the care and kindness that this practice showed meant so much to us.
She is an adopted stray, and we'd only had her for a little while when she was knocked over, and stupidly we had not yet had her insured. The practice were incredibly kind, understanding and helpful in dealing with what did end up being a very large veterinary bill.

These are the most caring compassionate vets you could ever ask for. They look after your pets as if they are their own. I have total confidence in them.

Yet another visit to the vet - Dempsey's always got something wrong! Such great treatment from the reception staff to the vet herself (Inge). Friendly & confident, gentle and kind to poor Dempsey, especially as he's so scared of going to the vets! Thanks - would highly recommend this practice to anyone!

Brought my dog Teddy in yesterday as an emergency appointment after he sliced his paw open and rushden vets directed me here as out of hours. The staff were brilliant especially the reception staff. Teddy was given a quick appointment and took out back to get ready for his op (stitches), I was given clear aftercare instructions and medication to last a couple of days and despite us both being there all day they kept him in till they were happy he was safe to come home. I rang rushden vets today to book his post op checkup for Wednesday and they had already received his records. Worth every penny in my opinion. Thank you for taking care of Teddy.

My dog Haddy came home today after having surgery. I have nothing but praise for such a wonderful vets. Not only did they look after my special girl they also looked after us as a family. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we are so grateful. Thank you to all of the staff at Moulton and Abington, but most of all thank you to Jamie, you helped us make the right decision about surgery and hopefully you have enabled Haddy to have a much better life . I was super impressed with this practise, Scobie came in as a referral for laryngeal paralysis and had to have a tieback. Jeremy Onyett who performed this took the time the time to explain every detail of the condition and made my understanding much clearer. Scobie has made good recovery and back to his bouncy self. Thanks to all the nurses who looked after him and Jeremy who did the surgery.

I all so disgusted the way the vet him self treated a dyeing dog last night he man handle the dog slang the dog on floor n told owners to basically go away ! It was the recepionist that was kind n understanding and apologised for his rude manner ! He should be a vet if he can't handle it ? People don't pick when there pet dyes they rang first to clear with the vets to be greeted rudely by the vet ! , I would not recommend this for understanding or sympathy ,

I would highly recommend Abington Park Vets. Over the past 12 years we have been to all their locations, but mostly to the one off Wellingborough Road. After 11 years of routine visits and only minor health problems, our dog was diagnosed with diabetes at the beginning of 2016. The care provided and the approach by vets, nurses and admin staff has been great, professional, pro-active and caring about our dog. The fact that the practice is open 24/7 is reassuring to us. Our dog is nervous with strangers and was a bit traumatised by the sudden frequency of vet visits and treatments, so the flexibility such larger practice offers is that you can try which vet your pet is most comfortable with. We have found this to be the vet Hans. This does not take away from the support given by other vets after Mr. Edwards, the vet we saw most over the years retired. I also like the fact that the practice is attached to Moulton College, there seems to be continuous training and very up-to-date information of treatments, which means that you find an approach of outside the box thinking where standard treatment may not work. On Facebook I like that your page supports local pet owners in case their pets are missing. What I would like to see more is info on services that you offer that may or may not be on your website.

Jeremy Onyett treated our little cat after she had been knocked over. She had broken both of her front legs. Our own vet had told us that she was likely to lose one of her legs, as the damage to the shoulder joint was so extensive, but referred us to this practice for a specialist opinion. He saved her leg, and supervised her recovery with great care. She is now fully recovered, and running around with only the slightest limp.
She's only a little moggy, but very much loved, and the care and kindness that this practice showed meant so much to us.
She is an adopted stray, and we'd only had her for a little while when she was knocked over, and stupidly we had not yet had her insured. The practice were incredibly kind, understanding and helpful in dealing with what did end up being a very large veterinary bill.
