General Info
This practice relocated to newly refurbished premises have been modified to best suit the needs of both their patients and clients in June 2014.
The new waiting room has separate cat and dog areas, with cat box storage units to give them a dominant view above floor level and reduce stress. It also has six consulting rooms, three operating theatres, three kennel wards, x-ray, ultrasound and a laboratory.
On top of this our clients now benefit from a larger private car park to the front of the Vets, as well as disabled access. Vets Now out of hours emergency services also join us in our new building, should our clients ever be in need of their services outside of our opening hours.
Opening Hours Mon – Fri: 9am – 7pm Sat: 9am – 5pm Sun: Closed

The vets practice has always been very good for us. It has recently been taken over by new management and prices have gone up but it is handy for when you need a close vets

Took my dog for her yearly booster. Seen after waiting over 20 minutes past our appointment time to see a vet who had only started that day, couldn't use the computer system and had to ask reception staff for help. Not his fault but the fault of the management. Went to pay and found the cost had gone up more than 50%. When I asked why I was told that the practice had been taken over and had raised their prices in line with their other practices. I will not be using this vets again as I find it disrespectful that they didn't inform their customers of the takeover and the price rises. Read Less

please do not be put off by the not so positive reviews, I registered with them as we have moved to the area, they have been nothing but helpful with my cat Olive, I have now seen 3 of the vets (1 lady and 2 men) and they have all been so helpful and informative, we are travelling a rocky road with our cat at the moment as she is old but the help and support they are giving us is so important. I have dealt with a lady and a two men on reception and all have been extremely helpful when it is very apparent they are very busy, Thank you .Read Less

One of the worst practises I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. There is a very nice lady on reception called Lorraine but, sadly, she is completely over shadowed by the other receptionists who down right bully the customers and staff. One called Victoria couldn't be less sincere, has an attitude to match katie hopkins. She's nasty and will never justify her decisions face to face but instead gets other staff members to do it. If she takes a disliking to your face she shows it through her "power" behind the counter and frankly makes your time at the practise hell. I was wrongly charged for treatment and had to argue my case with another receptionist for 45 mins. I was told to leave as I was making a fuss. 2 days later, I received a letter saying they were in the wrong and I received a full refund. I beg you to take your business and precious pets elsewhere. These people are only after your money. Read Less

I can not thank the people at pdsa more for what they did for my baby boy, he was so unwell i took him to a different vet on the saturday morning 18/1/14 who looked my snaps over , we told him how we thought he was blind and that he couldnt stand on his own and was going to the toilet everywhere and she didnt check his eye but gave him some medicine for atheritis then she couldnt seem to get us out quick enough to get the money , we then took him home where he rapidly went down hill over the space of 3-4 hours, we then phoned the psda who was brilliant and allowed us to bring him straight over, the girls there were amazing they hung on our every word as we described how unwell he was, they checked him over and told us he was blind and seemed to have a brain tumour which was heartbreaking, they waited for us to ask for him to be but down and did not pressure us into anything, they asked us if we would like to be left with him and they left us for about a hour maybe longer with him , they made us a hot drink and didnt rush us to leave , they answered all questions given to them with out delay, they left us a booklet to discuss in our own time to decide what we wanted to do with him after he had passed and waited for us to talk about it. they made his last moments of life the most relaxed and comftable and i cant thank them enough for there service.they wrapped my boy up in my blanket at my request so he was all warm and covered up so i could take him home to bury, i thank you for the amazing service you did for my boy on behalf of him myself and my mother i really cant thank you enough for what you did, forever grateful Alex Crouch Read Less

Ive always found them to be exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind. When our (then ferral and wild) cat was desperate for treatment but attacked anyone and everyone they were patient and caring with him. They managed to calm him, treat him and look after him and now hes absolutely fine. The team there put up with some awful abuse from owners but still manager to put the animals first. Read Less

Took my dog for her yearly booster. Seen after waiting over 20 minutes past our appointment time to see a vet who had only started that day, couldn't use the computer system and had to ask reception staff for help. Not his fault but the fault of the management. Went to pay and found the cost had gone up more than 50%. When I asked why I was told that the practice had been taken over and had raised their prices in line with their other practices. I will not be using this vets again as I find it disrespectful that they didn't inform their customers of the takeover and the price rises. Read Less

Ive always found them to be exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind. When our (then ferral and wild) cat was desperate for treatment but attacked anyone and everyone they were patient and caring with him. They managed to calm him, treat him and look after him and now hes absolutely fine. The team there put up with some awful abuse from owners but still manager to put the animals first. Read Less
