General Info
Spinney Lodge Vets practice dates back to the early 1900's when we were the only practice in Northampton. We were situated in Derngate. We were a traditional mixed practice, where most of our clients were farmers with draught horses and farm livestock.
In 1974 the practice re-located to the Kettering Road site where following extensive development became the first and only Veterinary Hospital approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons situated in Northampton.
\in the early 1990's the practice opened a branch surgery at the Abbey Centre in East Hunsbury, which was followed by the purpose built Wootton Fields Veterinary Surgery opening in 2004.

I feel the vets try to pamper too much and over treat. Not sure if this is pander to customers or to extract more money from them.

I bring all my pets here! Wouldn't trust any others after bad experiences else where. They have been patient and worked wonders with my was nervous youngest lab who now can't wait to visit. My rabbits Speys were nice and neat and operations performed and follow up care for my older lab have been fantastic. X

Visited yesterday with my silly dog Theo who ate a ibuprofen tablet , he was seen promptly and given something to make him sick . Whilst I was given a cup of tea while I waited for the offending table...
Visited yesterday with my silly dog Theo who ate a ibuprofen tablet , he was seen promptly and given something to make him sick . Whilst I was given a cup of tea while I waited for the offending tablet to appear. Thankfully it appeared just as it had gone down so no further treatment was needed. Although he left looking rather subdued and shaky. Happily back to normal this morning.

Rude incompetent reception staff. Fraudulently taken money from our bank card. Invoices not sent out, missed info from paperwork. When we complained they would not listen, could not provide proof of w...
Rude incompetent reception staff. Fraudulently taken money from our bank card. Invoices not sent out, missed info from paperwork. When we complained they would not listen, could not provide proof of what was paid for when they took money from card. Refused to give us test results even though paid for and would not let us come to surgery for results. We have reported them. This practice is just out for money, watch what they charge for and check what tests mean and are for before agreeing. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I have been taking my pet Rabbit Starsky here for years and I can't recommend them enough. I highly recommend Marianne for anyone that has a pet bunny she is incredible.

As customers at Spinney Lodge since 2005 I can honestly say that they have been wonderful with our dogs, especially when you really need their help at those dreadful end-of -days times. Their empathy and support is fabulous. They've always treated our beloved dogs as if they were their own , which is all you could ever ask for .
