AVOID AVOID Absolutely disgusting animal care!!! Took my dog in for excessive thirst and urination. The Vet Mr Aaron Gilmore never used stethoscope or took dogs temperature. Proceeded to carry out over a £1000 worth of tests and wouldn’t listen to our concerns about my dogs back leg twitching. My dog Blue had a blood clot that was misse on two apparently through consultations, a pre and post procedure examination. My dog Blue was placed under sedation which caused his blood pressure to drop and made the clot worse and caused agonising pain. My dog was left screaming in pain for THREE HOURS whilst in their care and kennels without anyone tending to him. Today I had to have my dog put to sleep due to McPhersons negligence. I will be reporting them to the Royal college of veterinary surgeons. We have used this veterinary practice as a family for over 40 years and after making our concerns known to Jack McPherson who has been a family friend for many many years, about the disgusting treatment of my dog Blue, they had the audacity to remove my dogs treatment whilst under treatment and prescription. If you love your pet DON’T USE THIS VETS.

Great for collecting wormers and flea treatments. Though it is cheaper to buy the flea treatments individually than in a box of 3, bit silly really.

This vets is awful. Took a friends pup for injections and vet wasnt interested in anything we were saying and couldn't get us out quick enough. Will recommend my vets to everyone else in future

AVOID this Awful vets! in over 20 years of having dogs and cats i have never had the unfortunate experience such as with this business so called (vets) lack of care or compassion. Brought my 15 year old dog in for a check up he was given meds and a injection I still have no idea what for i was then told he's old "what do you want" didn't seem very bothered about him we where in and out in 5 minutes if that, we left after paying a big bill and feeling hopless.

Great service, took my kitten here multiple times - recently to get his claws cut, was very cheap and quick :)! One other time being when he had eaten a piece of a lily leaf - which was during out-of-hours. He came home safe, and we haven't had any problems since due to the thorough tests he had done. Staff are always friendly and helpful, I also go in with my grandmother when she takes her elderly cat (who is now 17 years and has been going here since she was younger) and she is always very carefully handled and checks are very quick so she doesn't get worked up. Both of the cats have had operations and both have been well looked after both times. :)

visited this vet for the second time and well satisfied with the no frills and frank diagnosis. This vet obviously is more concerned with the treatment of animals and not the financial benefits of ripping off customers as so many others are. If you want good frank treatment at a realistic price you can not go wrong.

I have been adopting cats from the whitely cats protection shelter (warsop) and was advised that the vets they used where mcphersons. I can definitely understand why, they (mac's) are the most caring, professional, knowledgeable and just the best vets that i have ever encountered. I have taken my cats to them for years and they are always ready not just to treat the animals that are taken to them but the also take care of the mummys and daddys as well. mcphersons looks after every animal taken to them and also their owners (who sometimes need the reassurance that mcphersons supplies in abundance more than the pets need treatment). I presently have 3 cats registered with mac's and would never intentionally take them anywhere else as only the best will do when you love your pets. Thanks to Jack Tim and the team.

We have used Mc Pherson's vets for many, many years and when we moved house to Derbyshire we tried a more local vets but we were not as happy with them. We now travel to McPhersons whenever we need to as we have always found them to be superb at what they do. When our family pets are ill or old it is a very difficult time and they are always kind and considerate, even at the worst of moments.

AVOID AVOID Absolutely disgusting animal care!!! Took my dog in for excessive thirst and urination. The Vet Mr Aaron Gilmore never used stethoscope or took dogs temperature. Proceeded to carry out over a £1000 worth of tests and wouldn’t listen to our concerns about my dogs back leg twitching. Great service, took my kitten here multiple times - recently to get his claws cut, was very cheap and quick :)! One other time being when he had eaten a piece of a lily leaf - which was during out-of-hours. He came home safe, and we haven't had any problems since due to the thorough tests he had done. Staff are always friendly and helpful, I also go in with my grandmother when she takes her elderly cat (who is now 17 years and has been going here since she was younger) and she is always very carefully handled and checks are very quick so she doesn't get worked up. Both of the cats have had operations and both have been well looked after both times. :)

I can definitely understand why, they (mac's) are the most caring, professional, knowledgeable and just the best vets that i have ever encountered. I have taken my cats to them for years and they are always ready not just to treat the animals that are taken to them but the also take care of the mummys and daddys as well. mcphersons looks after every animal taken to them and also their owners (who sometimes need the reassurance that mcphersons supplies in abundance more than the pets need treatment). We have used Mc Pherson's vets for many, many years and when we moved house to Derbyshire we tried a more local vets but we were not as happy with them. We now travel to McPhersons whenever we need to as we have always found them to be superb at what they do. When our family pets are ill or old it is a very difficult time and they are always kind and considerate, even at the worst of moments.
