Max is a very lucky Dog. He needed an operation to repair a Perineal Hernia. This op is complicated and after care can be intense. Max has a new lease of life and is 'up to his old tricks again'. Amazing vets with dedicated & caring staff. Paul was absolutely brilliant with our chow Leo after being called out to re open the surgery on a bank holiday Monday! Didn't complain ,spent a hour with Leo then a week later gave the quickest diagnosis on our cat lucky I've ever known. Operated the same evening & had her back fighting fit 24hrs later. During a melee with his brother Woody cut his chest after breaking and falling on a vase. Without hesitation we called Companion Vets right upon closure time. My gorgeous old cat of 12, Oscar got very ill after living his whole life with no problems. After just a couple of visits to The Companion Vets they found he had a hyperthyroid problem. All the way through, everyone at the clinic was kind and informative. Both vets were excellent. It was a very difficult time when I found out that Oscar would have to take tablets for the rest of his life. However, a couple of weeks in, Paul Dowie advised that he could perform an operation to remove the thyroid - he talked me through it, what the advantages and disadvantages may be and what the percentage of positive outcome would be. Based on this information, I decided to let Paul perform the operation. He was wonderful and Oscar is now a very healthy and much happier cat.
