This is an exceptional vets practice. I moved here a couple of years ago, having spent 20+ years being treated like a VIP at my previous vets - who counted me and my cats as family, going above and beyond on many occasions, and forming a very close bond. When I moved here I never thought I'd be lucky enough to find another vets who could be so amazing. But by extraordinary good luck I found Anne and Carla, who have been the best replacement imaginable. I love everything about Meadowbank and its staff, whose warmth, kindness, and expertise make me feel as safe here as I did at my former practice. Special mention to Carla, whose superhuman patience and genuine compassion have saved my sanity several times. I am not an easy customer, as I am very demanding and neurotic about my beloved animals, yet Carla has never lost patience with me, or made me feel bad about myself. This is the most fabulous vets I have found. I moved around a bit with my late cat and Anne, Carla and the team at Meadowbank took over the care of her in her last few years when we moved to the area. Everything was very well explained and all choices given in a sensitive and caring manner. There was never any pressure to make any decisions and they worked with me to manage my cat's conditions (arthritis, CRF and sudden onset blindness from high blood pressure) to keep my cat as pain free and happy as possible until the day came we decided there was nothing more to be done. I collected her ashes today and Carla helped me to send some to ashes into glass and they even gave me a card expressing their sympathy. Cannot thank Anne and her team enough for the care and compassion that they showed to us recently on one of the hardest days as a family that we have had to face. I first came to see the Meadowbank team with my lovely miniature schnauzer Maggie. Having been a rescue dog, I confess that as a family we used food to get her settled in at home. In the end she'd gained 4kg and the lovely staff at Meadowbank suggested we try their slimmers club. FREE to join, biweekly weigh-ins and tonnes of helpful advise; a year later and she's 5kg lighter (14kg down to 8.6!) and so much happier and healthier than she's ever been. I cannot rate Annie high enough particularly her dealing with ruby's cushing syndrome I would quite happily let anyone who could use it for research have any of ruby's information. Great vets, my retriever had huge anxiety issues after being to other vets where he was treated as an income rather than part of my family, but when I moved to the area Anne and her team are so understanding and have worked hard to put him at ease and now he is so much better. They always accommodate him and having had ops as well as his regular check ups over the last 3 years it's safe to say I am very happy with this practice. Keep up the good work guys. Read Less

I found Anne and her team by chance and asked for a second opinion on the health of one of my cats.The prognosis was not good but with regular medication and care she now has a new lease of life.
