My 14yr old cats has been seen several times this year, at this place, after losing weight (she had been 11lb until Feb this year) (despite being fed 4 times a day).  Symptoms of vomiting, hunger, lethargy, sleeping a LOT, poor coat condition, etc., seemed to suggest thyroid or liver problems, so 2 weeks ago, vet did blood tests (£146), said they were all ok, didn't suggest anything else - no diagnosis, treatment, tests were offered.  Mr Giffin never spoke to my cat (or the other 2 I've taken ther), never explained anything, didn't seem very interested.  When this cat had some teeth out in Feb, I asked him how many.  His reply- "between 4 and 9".!She now weighs 5lb, and has been VERY unwell, so I went to a different vet yesterday - I rang her first, asked for advice - the new vet diagnosed IBD (intestinal disease) OVER THE 'PHONE, then upon examination of the cat , prescribed a course of tablets, a change in diet, and gave her 2 injections.  Today - a different cat!  Eating, she's happier, comfortable, and behaving normally. All 3 of my cats will go to the new vet in future, NEVER AGAIN to ARNWOOD on Winchester Street.  QUACKS - I would urge anyone who takes their pets here to get a 2nd opinion elsewhere, if they are not satisfied - so glad I did that.  I had envisaged having to have my poor cat euthanised.  The terrible thing is that she's been ill for some time, and with a bit of care and medication, she could have been fine ages ago Read Less
