I found a cat dead on my road, so I called "orchards vets" to see if they would check it had bee microchipped to trace the owners. They said they would, but if no microchip then I would have to ring my local council to dispose of the body. I then called "vetsforpets" on woodborough road they said they would dispose of the body.I think it is a digrace thet they would not do this I would never take my pet to "orchard" they are money grabbers with no feelings. So far they have served the purpose, however, I should think you have to keep an eye open and do your own research. Been referred to the vet by their nurse as my cat had lost a bit of weight. He had absolutely nothing at all and the vet only gave me suggs I already knew about. Of course I had to pay for this consultation. In the end, I found out myself that my cat had lost the weight as he was eating more wet food than dry food, which has far less carbs than the latter one. Nurses give me advice to look after my cat that you do not necessarily have to follow. Once found a stray cat that was starving and full of fleas. I fed him and defleaded him. Then I took him there to find out if he was chipped. The nurse told me not to feed the animal nor to deflea him. Give me a break!!! Such decisions I can make them myself. Also noticed that depending on whom you see, you will hear something totally different. They can be a bit patronizing. Read Less

What a amazing place ! I highly recommend my my dogs have had the best cair i could of wished for all the staff are so frendly and cairring . I have bin in a number of times in the past cupple of months with my pup who has brocken his jaw and right from the off they was amazing and very helpfull and so understading they managed to see me with in less than half a hour of my pup being hurt and was very fast to diagnose what was rong and began to treat him stray away they was so gentile with him its very clear how much they cair about the pets they see and even the receptionist was fantastic she even helped me to find phone the insurance and exsplaned to them what had happend as i was to upset. my german shepard is 3 years old now and we have been with orchard since she was 7 weeks old, when she became very unwell and nearly died. thanks to the loving staff she pulled through, she has a lot of health problems but everytime i take her there she is well looked after and so am i. I took my dog here earlier today, to be told she had cysts on her ovaries and needed an emergency hysterectomy. They told me this after charging 300 for a scan a blood test and a consultation. They then told us that the operation would be 1500 for the operation and there was no payment plan. The people were absolutely lovely the advice was on point and the diagnosis were all brilliant. We took out dog down the road to another vet who are currently doing the operation my dog needs for 650. Beware of taking your pets here as there prices are extortionate. In our case almost 3x what the operation has actually cost us. They sent her home saying she could die of septicaemia. As Iv said the people are lovely here but the prices are ridiculous. Read Less

Always wonderful and friendly service. I just wish dog owners wouldn't let their dogs approach and sniff other "patients" and their owners. The service up until recently was very good. On my last visit they practice forgot to put the consultation charge on to my bill, which I have to wait to be typed up before I can pay and leave anyway. I received no telephone call just a statement through my door, and whenever I tried to resolve it with the practice manager they were never available. I eventually received a 'debt letter' GREAT!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, which ended up costing me more money and his was all through NO fault of my own. Very very bad customer service. This is one customer you have lost! Read Less

Would just like to say what wonderful vets! Diggle had a castration yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the results! The after care, the operation and the staff were all EXCELLENT! If anything its all gone too well! Hes back to being a stupid puppy this morning and ive got all on keeping him calm and stopping him jumping and pulling his stitches!lol Thank you all so much!!!!!
