The head vetinary nurse Sarah turned away a pooly hedghog and refused too see it, and the other vet stood at the door just went along wiTh it!!! She said to contact Wildthings organsiation instead, who just said contact the vets!. When I told wildthings, they were outraged and said Foxhall "They have a duty of care!". So unfortunately hedgyhog not got seen for 24 hrs and died (it had bleeding wounds, injured smelly sepsis leg, and maybe flystrike). Kirks vets in Sleafurd said Foxhall were naughty! And i was told it was actuelay breaking the law , and that I should report it to the British Vetinary Association, which I did, and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (I won't name the orgasination that told me to, to keep things peaceful...). The Royal College of Vetinery Surgeons are goung to investigate for turning away an animal in an emegency, and may or may not result in seriouse professianle malpractise. Apart from this, Foxhall has been GOOD vets, with some awesome staff working there, and way better than Metheringham vets (IMO), and I trust the owner Tracey who genuinlry cars about thrme amialns, and sorry to kind Tracy for having to report this. But I had to report and also do this review in case other wildlife animals are turned away and left to die.. Sarah DID eventuly agree to see the hedgyhog, but only becausr I got angry with both the vets and said NO anmilal should be turned away, but by then I did not hand the hog over because she didnt seem to care at all and so I decided to let someone that was kind and caring examine the hedhog instead. But Orchard house had no vet there in the morning, and hog was very very ill, so I had no choice but to ring Foxhall knowin it would be put down, bit Sarah put phone down on me because she didnt believe what Wildthings had said and stuff. So I had to bike 9 miles to Kirks vet inSaleaford, with a bad swollen knee, and after prostate srugery, on a bike with a back tire too flat to he riding it. But i got the little cutey seen too, but he had been 24 hrs no fluids or antibiotics and was put down :(. This Steven, Jennifers son writing this btw, but my Mum Jennifer is aware and agrees with this is review so it's a review from both the us. (Also btw!!! if you ever get your dog or cat put down anywhere at any vets, they inject that green stuff that stops the heart, but have you noticsed that for a just the second beforer it dies, it always suddenly bolts up and looks terrified for a brief moment!? I have, with my cats put down,,, so please always ask for a general anestgetic to be given to your pet frist! Read Less

Visited this vets tonight and have previously be very happy, unfortunately the vets have changed ownership and the service and professionalism has suffered considerably. Tonight we felt nothing more than a "cash cow". The reception area this evening was uncomfortably hot and the the surgery was running 30 minutes late with no apology and with a waiting room full of dogs, some of which were vocal and one owner admitted hard to control. We were forced to stand outside with our cat who was extremely stressed. The vet himself was unwelcoming, harsh in handling the cat and even suggested starving the cat in order to force the cat to change diet!! In our opinion he neither understands or has any compassion for cats. If you are a cat lover I would say avoid this vets at all costs, they are simply not interested. We did try to make a complaint but the staff were not interested. My wife and I brought our rabbit Zeus into the clinic on Friday 15/03/13. He was very close to passing away after stopping eating. This was our first visit to Foxhall Veterinary Clinic as we had tried to look for a veterinary clinic who had a rabbit specialist. This veterinary practise is half an hour's drive from us but we will definitely use them from now on. The vets don't come across as cold people who have seen too many animals put to sleep. The duty vet (Alan) over the weekend was out picking grass for our rabbit on Saturday night. He took our rabbit back to his home to look after him. It's Sunday night now and he seems to be making a really good recovery. I know it's early days and that he may well take a turn for the worst but it's great to find a vet that offers their own out of hours service and genuinly seemed to care about our individual pet. We will definitely use Foxhall Veterinary Clinic again and would recommend them to friends and family. Thanks!! Read Less

We had to ask our vets at foxhall to put our 13yr old German Shepherd to sleep last July, those ladies were fantastic, they looked after our dog and us so wonderfully. We got a little rescue dog in January this year and twice we have got an aggressive old locum who clearly has no time for anything more than an old rabbit. Think we will go elsewhere rather than have to meet this "vet" again Read Less

These ladies are the best. Handled the worst week of my life when I lost two of my cats quite suddenly. They held me up throughout. The vets with their treatment of us and my babies. The nurses with their endless patience and compassion from chatting on the phone to put me at ease to the time they took as my heart broke in the surgery. I'm forever in their debt. Simply amazing!! Have always held in high regard for very friendly, yet highly professional service. Thanks!! Read Less
