Was recommended to register here after I moved into the area from Cyprus, I.am very particular in regards to the treatment and care of my dog who is aging, blind and diabetic, all the staff showed him great kindness, the vet we saw (Eleni) was very thorough and gentle with my Max and a bonus for me is she is from Cyprus too. I can't recommend this veterinary enough. Thanks guys.

As always a lovely experience visiting Kirks Vets. Friendly and very efficient.Only problem was the staff were very reluctant to let me take my 6mth old Bullmastiff back home with me. At one point they admitted they were planning to distract me whilst a member of nursing staff hid him in her car...Recently lost another dog to kidney failure and cannot fault how caring and compassionate the vet and other staff were.

I took my dog to this vet for help with a broken leg (he has brittle bones) and with other complications. The staff were extremely helpful, informative and showed compassion to us as a family and to my dog. I was sick with worry and they went out of their way to reassure me that he was in safe hands. The actual vet knew his stuff and made me feel at ease with what was going to happen. Diego is now on the mend and he is fighting fit. Thank you all so much! I'll recommend you to my friends and family. (Diego says thank you too!)

So today I rushed my cat into kirks vets in sleaford following her being hit by a car. Her left front leg was triple times the size of the right and bent a funny angle she couldn't put weight on it wa...
So today I rushed my cat into kirks vets in sleaford following her being hit by a car. Her left front leg was triple times the size of the right and bent a funny angle she couldn't put weight on it was in excruciating pain and became very vocal when trying to examine. Was pulled into the consultation room by a so called vet to be told it was my decision wether she had an x-ray as he did not seem concerned that a car had hit my cat as he then proceeded to talk about possible internal bleeding. But then offered no medical assistance to said possible internal bleeding as he said he didn't know wether to do the tests or not. The experience at this vets was traumatic and completely outrageous as the vet also tried to call me a liar in front of the receptionist and two of my family members who had previously heard the consultation and knew I was not lieing. Please do not use this vets unless you want a traumatic experience and your pet not treated efficiently with care and passion

After spending 560 on our dog. Being sent 2 bills for administration charges for the vet to fill out the insurance forms. Only the vet can fill them out, no warning of charges. Totally unbelievable. Phoned 2 other vets who informed me they did not charge Nurse who looked after our dog was lovely. Another visit to have dog's claws cut asked vet why she sat to one side. She answered the question did NOT examine my dog in any way. Yet I was charged 25 for a consultation. I only asked a question !!! Will no longer take my dog here.

When we had just got two French Bulldogs we were in and out of the vets for the first couple of months with differant ailments that they had. All the staff, vets, nurses, admin staff were all very polite and make you feel relaxed. They also explained what was going on and what medicine/treatment was to take place to eradicate the symptoms and the cause. Since then the dogs are no where near the times they had gone there before and mostly for regular boosters etc.

I brought my 7 month old dog to be put to sleep as it was going to my 19 month old (not her fault was mistreated in a boarding home by a child looking identical to my daughter) and I had rang lots of trainers and rescue places and no one would help me so it was my last resort. I turned up to kirks and staff was friendly and gave us time to say goodbye and took her through. We was waiting for her lead back and a vet came out and said they would be prepared to take her on and get her trained and rehome if that's what we wanted instead of her putting to sleep which is what I had been trying to do for 2 days within a 100 mile radius so that's what we did. I am so heartbroken to have had to lose my gorgeous dog thanks to some irresponsible person however least she's going to be trained and have a new life instead of being put to sleep :) Thank you so much to kirks vets

We had to put our beloved pet to sleep on Tuesday. I was told on the telephone that there was a special room set aside for this . This was not the case, we had our beautiful boy put to sleep in the same room in which he had previously been examined , in fact on 2 separate occasions. This was after the vet came out to the reception and asked the receptionist what Pico was there for !!. This was very distressing for us , if she had looked at the computer surely she would have known. I had already telephoned and sorted the arrangements for Pico re cremation etc so was very surprised when the first question we were asked by the vet was what were we doing with him. More distress . I am very disappointed with the whole process and really hope that my boy is returned to us as previously requested. I will add that Ed saved the day , seeing his kind face was the difference between staying in that awful room and taking Pico elsewhere .

Although the staff were fine, it was the lack of organisation. After putting my Dog down, the vet was very friendly and supportive and asked what we wanted to do with my dog, so we said we weren't sure at that moment, so the vet suggested keeping him there over night, so we did, we signed the sheet saying we didn't want him cremated or buried, we just wanted him there for the evening, which was given to us as an option. We went back the next morning to collect him and bring him home to bury, to find that they were faffing around trying to bring my dog to us. We then had a very tearful vet explain to us that Dougal (my dog) had been "accidentally" cremated along with the other dogs. Without our consent. My mum was beside herself. A few days later we then received a letter of apology with spelling mistakes and the incorrect spelling with my dog. The staff are friendly but never will we be going back to Kirk vets due to the lack of organisation and carelessness.

I brought my 7 month old dog to be put to sleep as it was going to my 19 month old (not her fault was mistreated in a boarding home by a child looking identical to my daughter) and I had rang lots of trainers and rescue places and no one would help me so it was my last resort. I turned up to kirks and staff was friendly and gave us time to say goodbye and took her through. We was waiting for her lead back and a vet came out and said they would be prepared to take her on and get her trained and rehome if that's what we wanted instead of her putting to sleep which is what I had been trying to do for 2 days within a 100 mile radius so that's what we did. I am so heartbroken to have had to lose my gorgeous dog thanks to some irresponsible person however least she's going to be trained and have a new life instead of being put to sleep :) Thank you so much to kirks vets

We had to put our beloved pet to sleep on Tuesday. I was told on the telephone that there was a special room set aside for this . This was not the case, we had our beautiful boy put to sleep in the same room in which he had previously been examined , in fact on 2 separate occasions. This was after the vet came out to the reception and asked the receptionist what Pico was there for !!. This was very distressing for us , if she had looked at the computer surely she would have known. I had already telephoned and sorted the arrangements for Pico re cremation etc so was very surprised when the first question we were asked by the vet was what were we doing with him. More distress . I am very disappointed with the whole process and really hope that my boy is returned to us as previously requested. I will add that Ed saved the day , seeing his kind face was the difference between staying in that awful room and taking Pico elsewhere .

Been 2 times now with my dog and 1st time iv used then safe are very friendly my dog 2day had 6 teeth removed was well explained after wat advice we needed and wat we needed to do to take care for him...

Although the staff were fine, it was the lack of organisation. After putting my Dog down, the vet was very friendly and supportive and asked what we wanted to do with my dog, so we said we weren't sure at that moment, so the vet suggested keeping him there over night, so we did, we signed the sheet saying we didn't want him cremated or buried, we just wanted him there for the evening, which was given to us as an option. We went back the next morning to collect him and bring him home to bury, to find that they were faffing around trying to bring my dog to us. We then had a very tearful vet explain to us that Dougal (my dog) had been "accidentally" cremated along with the other dogs. Without our consent. My mum was beside herself. A few days later we then received a letter of apology with spelling mistakes and the incorrect spelling with my dog. The staff are friendly but never will we be going back to Kirk vets due to the lack of organisation and carelessness.
