My mum and dad had to take their Staffordshire bull terrier to have her put to sleep which they’ve spent thousands on at Thompsons my mum forgot her bank card so they made her bring her beloved milly back home to fetch her card or they wouldn’t do it I am absolutely disgusted and heartbroken as are my parents I take both my dachshund there but I will never use them again if they call that caring for animals god help us our poor baby thought she was coming back home but unfortunately she couldn’t her liver and kidneys was failing due to long term steroid use for foot and leg problems I thought they’d have had a bit of compassion at this heartbreaking time and with the Coronavirus outbreak they wouldn’t let my mum be with her but they came to the car to have consent forms signed so why couldn’t they put her to sleep in the car I will never use this vets again and I hope people read this review and save themselves the extra heartache Thompsons you should be ashamed of yourselves. i was ripped off by this vets last week after taking my cat with a lump on his ear, it cost me £178 for tests that was not necessary and told he would have to have his ear removed and further costs of around £500 for the surgery, after seeking a second opinion at the pdsa i was told all he had was a hematoma and no treatment was necessary! i have been going to this vets for many years and will never go again !!
