Unfortuately we had to say goodbye to our 10 year old German Shepherd Rebel after a short illness. Rebel was treated lovingly and was allowed to die with dignity and respect. We chose as a family to be with Rebel during his last monents and everyone at the practise were caring and understanding of our wishes. We couldn't have chosen a better place or nicer people to help us say goodbye to Rebel. Today we received a hand made sympathy card from the practise. How lovely!Read Less

Its frightening, even to adults, when your pet develops an illness and you don't know what it is. About ten days ago our youngest cat, Marble, started to go off her food and appeared to have no interest in life as she used to. We thought we could handle it so we helped her along for a couple of days but sadly there was no change. I was terrified of taking her to see the vet because the last cat I took there presented with similar symptoms and unfortunately she had to be PTS. I didnt want this to happen to Marble but unfortunately we had no choice and so off to the vet we went. When we got there we were called straight in with no waiting and we saw a lovely man Mr Viorel Teodoru, the vet. We waited anxiously while he took the cat's temperature and had a good feel around her body. He came up with the diagnosis of Kidney problems which is what the other cat had. Trying to be brave we discussed it with him waiting for the line "I cant help her I will have to put her to sleep" It didnt come however, he said "we can take some bloods and analyse them. Before he did this however, he was kind enough to look up the costs and tell us so that we could decide whether we could afford it. We decided to go ahead and Marble was taken away to the prep room. We sat and paced, sat and paced worrying about what Marble's fate would be. After about 30 mins Viorel came and called us back into the treatment room. He had the results which he showed me and which thankfully came back all good apart from one. He said the best treament would be antibiotics and anti inflamatories which he wasted no time in giving her. He told us she would soon start to recover and to take her home with a vial of anti inflamatories to be administered orally. All the time Viorel was totally sympathetic to our stress and anxiety and was comforting and reassuring throughout. We took Marble home wrapped in a blanket and set her down on her favourite bean bag. For the next 24 hours she seemed to go downhill and we were as worried as we were before we first took her. The same on the second day although we kept administering the meds we had been told to. We kept her close by us at night. This morning18 December 2015 marble had her first wee for 2 days and we were so relieved. She then went on to drink of her own accord as previously I had to water her with a pipette. After syringe feeding with a complan mixture she is now on the road to recovery. I would think after the weekend she will be her old self. This is all thanks to Vetsavers and Viorel Teodoru. We are so grateful for this man's intervention. If you are looking for a good vet to treat your animal look no further. Vetsavers has the skills and knowledge to do this. Not only that the vets treat the animal with care and compassion and the oweners with sympathy and understanding at stressful times. Viorel I thank you, I thank your associate who tested the bloods and to Sarah on Reception who's understanding and caring manner eased our visit and got our cat on the road to recovery. Dont look anywhere else. This is the Vets practice you need. Thanks everyone Graham and Val Bacon (and Marble) Read Less
