We treat all species of animals at our purpose built surgery in Hatston, Kirkwall. We have a dedicated, friendly and professional staff, and excellent facilities and equipment. We provide a 24 hour emergency service 365 days of the year.

We have always used Flett and Carmichael from day one, their service has always been great from farm stock to household pets.
In recent months our dog has been quite poorly, Liz in our opinion has worked very hard in finding and treating the problem, she actually treats our dog as if it were here own, the reception and nurses have also been excellent in
making appointments and looking after our dog around the ferry timetable.
Well done to the Flett and Carmichael team and many thanks for your treatment of our dog.

I have always used Flett & Carmichael for both my dogs and my cat. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, giving excellent advice. The treatment my animals have received has always been very goo...
I have always used Flett & Carmichael for both my dogs and my cat. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, giving excellent advice. The treatment my animals have received has always been very good and the vets and nurses have handled them very well and with care, especially with my wee Staffy who hates having her feet touched so nail cutting not easy!! They always manage very well.
I highly recommend for any animal.

F&C were my vets when I lived in Orkney and I have to say we always had good experiences with them despite throwing all sorts of problems their way, poorly kittens, itchy guinea pigs, nervous collie dog and mad as a hatter staffie, all dealt with compassionately.....Thanks F&C Great job with Alma (the wolfdog pup) too, she is settled really well now with her new family......:)

I have always used Flett & Carmichael for both my dogs and my cat. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, giving excellent advice. The treatment my animals have received has always been very good and the vets and nurses have handled them very well and with care, especially with my wee Staffy who hates having her feet touched so nail cutting not easy!! F&C were my vets when I lived in Orkney and I have to say we always had good experiences with them despite throwing all sorts of problems their way, poorly kittens, itchy guinea pigs, nervous collie dog and mad as a hatter staffie, all dealt with compassionately.....Thanks F&C Great job with Alma (the wolfdog pup) too, she is settled really well now with her new family......:)
