Saw Dr.Tim for the first time today! What a lovely professional and gentle vet. Very sadly took the decision to let my elderly and unwell puss pass away. Tim could not have been more helpful and informative before I made this very hard choice. In the event, my cat passed away quietly and very quickly with great care. All vets could learn a huge amount from this gentleman’s approach. Been coming here for many years and this change is modern and very customer focused. Read Less

Hi I'm writing to put in a complaint. I am absolutely horrified with the customer care or should I say lack of it we received in the week between Christmas and new year. My aunties cat was found deceased in her back garden on Wednesday 28th December after being missing for 3 weeks. I called you to inform you of this and ask to bring him to you to be cremated. The person on the phone said that was fine and preceeded to give me a price which I did not ask for as money is not something that was on my mind. When I brought the cat round to you after my family had said goodbye I walked I to the surgery to reception and said who I had brought to which I got the reply " oh yes are you paying now".. I still had the dead cat in my arms and had to hand him to my mother so I could pay you!!! Absolutely NOT acceptable. No one showed me any compassion or anything.. this cat was I our family for 15 years and you could not be bothered to take the cat from me before taking my money.. I might add that money is not an issue an I had every intentions of paying before I left but to ask for payment before taking care of the animal is disgusting. This is the reason I will NEVER bring my animals to you and will be telling anyone who will listen not to either. You staff need to be taught some compassion and kindness. Never in my life have I ever experienced anything like this.. YOU ARE A DISGRACE .Read Less

I can't thank Mr Fraser and his team enough for all that they have done for both me and my dog Ruby. Since being referred in 2012, the practice have offered invaluable advise and support during some very emotional times whilst always keeping Ruby's well being the priority. They are always able to offer me a convenient appointment at the shortest notice as well as organising repeat medication when I have not planned ahead. On the occasions she has needed to stay overnight, I have been able to speak to someone at regular intervals who keeps me updated of her progress and puts my mind at rest that she is not only being looked after medically but is also being cared for too! It seems all to common that people only ever make time to pass negative comments rather than recognise those who are doing a great job on a daily basis. Thanks Again! Read Less

I rushed Matthew the Lhasa Apso over to him for sudden acute onset glaucoma 10 days ago., Sadly his eye could not be saved and was removed but with drops we are trying to save his right eye for as long as possible. Signed on my pets after seeing favourable reviews on Google, big mistake!! Brought my cat in, arrived slightly late as the traffic in Abingdon was a nightmare! The minute we arrived I felt a sense of doom from the miserable looking receptionist, to the appalling decor of the tiny waiting area. The place is shabby, dated, dark, the horrible wooden benches reminded me of my school years 30 years ago. The place was empty, yet we waited and waited......staff passed us, looking down on the ground and miserable. An older man popped out, a vet, I guess, and he gave us a smile and my heart lifted!! After half an hour the next customer came in, and he went through straight away, and I asked when are we likely to be seen. The Scottish receptionist rudely pointed out that we were late. The vet was actually about to take us through, but the old crone told her the other man must go in as he will be quick!!!! Well 45 min later, we were finally called into the examining room. What a shock, the table was a small wooden altar like contraption. Oh my days, I've never seen such an antiquated set up and I've lived in several countries!! I never went back for kittie's check up......I'm about to bring them to a much better brighter place. I've never had issues with previous surgeries, but this place is truly the pits! Read Less

Empathic, friendly service. Both our guinea pigs were seen at Fraser's over the last year - one for a benign tumour, the other for an eye infection. Both were seen quickly, at a very good price, with care plans that we could actually do, and without any kind of hard sell on extra tests. The lump got taken out very neatly. The vet we saw seemed interested in small furry pets, which is a change from places we've been elsewhere in the country. It's a bit hard to find the place though, although parking seemed OK.
