We have been using Mansion Hill vets since our previous dog was a pup. Even though we now take a 40 minute drive, with a barking dog, to get there we would not consider going to another vet. John is so lovely with the animals they stay calm and relaxed and love to go to see him. Nothing is too much for any of the staff and they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for the best pet care they can find.

Mansion Hill is a wonderful practice . Easy to arrange an appointment by phone or online and all the staff are very friendly. The vets really take time to put their furry visitors at ease. Over the years they have taken care of our dog, cats, guinea pigs and chickens. Whether it's been a general check up, illness or end of life care all our animals have been treated with the same kindness, respect and professional care.

My Labrador needed 2 x knee cruciate ligament implants last year which to my amazement was carried out at the surgery! No driving long distances to a veterinary specialist private and extremely expensive hospital. It's a great practice with genuinely interested staff. I thoroughly recommend them.

The whole team are excellent in all ways .Until a short while ago we thought that all vets were the same ,until a friend told us he had changed as he thought his pet was getting very poor treatment at his Vet. I find all the staff at Mansion Hill extremely welcoming and helpful. My special little Border Terrier, Thistle recently had an endoscopy performed by John, Ewan and Tess when they successfully extracted a piece of plastic toy which had been the cause of considerable discomfort, worry and many sleepless nights!
I was so impressed by the concern and care shown to myself and Thistle, especially by John who stopped and asked after Thistle on his day off! Thank you all so much, you are a great team!

Mansion Hill is by far the best vet practice I have ever used. The team are friendly and professional and incredibly caring. Our little dog had an operation on Thursday with this lovely vet practice. As with all animals we still worry when leaving them ( like having another child) but I truly belive that Hugo couldn't of been in better hands! I would like to say a big thank you to everyone there and to ewan for doing Hugos operation and to ross for keeping an eye on everything. 5 stars from me for price, dedication, cleanliness, and perfect people to chat to about any problems. a few years ago john did an amazing job of treating one of my cats who had broken his leg, and he and his staff were really good with all the follow up appointments, answering all my questions and keeping me informed on his progress.

The vet filed them down and she was eating normally again in a couple of days. We use Mansion Hill for all our guinea pigs and they (the vets) have always been amazing :)

I wanted to republish my first review of the practice and to say, without reservation, that every observation I made in my first review has held true, consistently, for more than two years now. I can recommend this practice without hesitation.
Here is what I wrote in the autumn of 2013:
I am a breeder and when I moved to Banbury, four months ago, I interviewed all the local practices by phone to find a vet.
At Mansion Hill, my reception was warm and welcoming from the first phone call. The receptionist was cordial and friendly and suggested scheduling a conversation with John Taylor, the principal vet and owner. This initial contact supportive and friendly - has been reliably characteristic of every subsequent experience I have had with the staff.
Everyone has time for a cheerful conversation no one is too busy or too important to talk with me. Everyone knows about my pets and listens to my stories about them. Everyone knows me by name and asks about my non-pet life as well!
This is a rare trait in both business and in other medical environments. This is a surgery in which it is clear that everyone loves his or her job! John Taylor has brought people into the practice who enjoy their work, their clients and each other! The effect is radiant! I have never experienced a veterinary practice which was so at ease with itself, its clients and all the animals who come in the door even if theyre rats!
These traits, coupled with the medical competence and success they have demonstrated consistently, mark Mansion Hill as a truly outstanding environment for nurturing and caring for my pets.

Mansion Hill was recommended to us when we moved to Banbury; it was an excellent suggestion and we've never gone anywhere else since. A very patient, helpful and caring small team, who know me and my family by name. The staff clearly enjoy their jobs and always do their best to make the animals feel comfortable. Lily, my whippet has been a few times more than she should, always for self-inflicted injury's and they've been brilliant at fitting us in at short notice and providing all-round care. The open days and puppy groups were really useful in getting to know the practice too. Finally, it's all been very reasonably priced. Would happily and confidently recommend this to anyone looking for a new vet. 5*

I would definitely recommend this Veterinary Practice, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. All my dogs past 😢 and present 😊 have attended this clinic and have been well looked after. John has a lot of empathy for his clients and their pets in times of difficulty but also a great sense of humour which at times is well needed.

We have been using Mansion Hill vets since our previous dog was a pup. Even though we now take a 40 minute drive, with a barking dog, to get there we would not consider going to another vet. John is so lovely with the animals they stay calm and relaxed and love to go to see him. Nothing is too much for any of the staff and they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I would recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for the best pet care they can find.

Mansion Hill is a wonderful practice . Easy to arrange an appointment by phone or online and all the staff are very friendly. The vets really take time to put their furry visitors at ease. Over the years they have taken care of our dog, cats, guinea pigs and chickens. Whether it's been a general check up, illness or end of life care all our animals have been treated with the same kindness, respect and professional care.

This practice has maintained the integrity of a traditional vets without the 'big sell' of so many others.
My Labrador needed 2 x knee cruciate ligament implants last year which to my amazement was carried out at the surgery! No driving long distances to a veterinary specialist private and extremely expensive hospital. It's a great practice with genuinely interested staff. I thoroughly recommend them.

The whole team are excellent in all ways .Until a short while ago we thought that all vets were the same ,until a friend told us he had changed as he thought his pet was getting very poor treatment at his Vet. Poppy and I would like to say a massive thank you to John Taylor and the team for all their hard work yesterday removing a big bit of rubber from Poppy's stomach. I am so grateful they managed to do this without surgery! John has gone above and beyond for me this last week and pretty much anytime I have needed his help too. All my animals that have been treated here have had 5 star treatment! I am very lucky to have such a great vet team! Thanks again!

I find all the staff at Mansion Hill extremely welcoming and helpful. My special little Border Terrier, Thistle recently had an endoscopy performed by John, Ewan and Tess when they successfully extracted a piece of plastic toy which had been the cause of considerable discomfort, worry and many sleepless nights!
I was so impressed by the concern and care shown to myself and Thistle, especially by John who stopped and asked after Thistle on his day off! Thank you all so much, you are a great team!

Mansion Hill is by far the best vet practice I have ever used. The team are friendly and professional and incredibly caring. They have provided the same level of concern and care for all our animals over the years, hamster, guinea pigs, chickens, cats and dog. Whether it's just a check up or something more serious their thoroughness and dedication has been outstanding. Our dog actually enjoys going there! Thank you John and the team : )

Our little dog had an operation on Thursday with this lovely vet practice. As with all animals we still worry when leaving them ( like having another child) but I truly belive that Hugo couldn't of been in better hands! I would like to say a big thank you to everyone there and to ewan for doing Hugos operation and to ross for keeping an eye on everything. 5 stars from me for price, dedication, cleanliness, and perfect people to chat to about any problems. I was also given a cup of coffee by one of the lovely ladies ( new machine and it was funny to see her trying to deal with it) Love to all from Hugo, lorna & family xx

a few years ago john did an amazing job of treating one of my cats who had broken his leg, and he and his staff were really good with all the follow up appointments, answering all my questions and keeping me informed on his progress.
this visit was just for their annual boosters and as always found john and his staff to be very friendly and professional

Diesel recently had major surgery on his leg which was performed by John. John was fantastic and even contacted us after hours on the evening of Diesel's discharge to ask how Diesel was. Its clear that this practice cares about its animals and we personally recommend them to anyone with a pet.

My ragdoll Blossom is an old girl and is recovering from her operation. John and his staff have been great ringing me to say she had a good night and then letting me know the results of her blood. They have kept me well informed and looked after Blossom that is exceptional a fantastic place to take your pets xxx

Brilliant. Poor Snickers had trouble eating and was losing weight due to overgrown molars. Given that Snickers is a guinea pig, filing the teeth was definitely a challenge. The vet filed them down and she was eating normally again in a couple of days. We use Mansion Hill for all our guinea pigs and they (the vets) have always been amazing :)

I have now relied on Mansion Hill for the care of my pets for more than two years. I wanted to republish my first review of the practice and to say, without reservation, that every observation I made in my first review has held true, consistently, for more than two years now. I can recommend this practice without hesitation.
Here is what I wrote in the autumn of 2013:
I am a breeder and when I moved to Banbury, four months ago, I interviewed all the local practices by phone to find a vet.
At Mansion Hill, my reception was warm and welcoming from the first phone call. The receptionist was cordial and friendly and suggested scheduling a conversation with John Taylor, the principal vet and owner. This initial contact supportive and friendly - has been reliably characteristic of every subsequent experience I have had with the staff.
Everyone has time for a cheerful conversation no one is too busy or too important to talk with me. Everyone knows about my pets and listens to my stories about them. Everyone knows me by name and asks about my non-pet life as well!
This is a rare trait in both business and in other medical environments. This is a surgery in which it is clear that everyone loves his or her job! John Taylor has brought people into the practice who enjoy their work, their clients and each other! The effect is radiant! I have never experienced a veterinary practice which was so at ease with itself, its clients and all the animals who come in the door even if theyre rats!
These traits, coupled with the medical competence and success they have demonstrated consistently, mark Mansion Hill as a truly outstanding environment for nurturing and caring for my pets.

Mansion Hill was recommended to us when we moved to Banbury; it was an excellent suggestion and we've never gone anywhere else since. A very patient, helpful and caring small team, who know me and my family by name. The staff clearly enjoy their jobs and always do their best to make the animals feel comfortable. Lily, my whippet has been a few times more than she should, always for self-inflicted injury's and they've been brilliant at fitting us in at short notice and providing all-round care. The open days and puppy groups were really useful in getting to know the practice too. Finally, it's all been very reasonably priced. Would happily and confidently recommend this to anyone looking for a new vet. 5*
