Nothing but praise for Bicester Vets. Always been happy with them but this week I have had to use them for my cat in an emergency situation for the first time. I trusted them from the beginning and they were simply brilliant. Always honest with me, keeping me informed all the way, and even called me with a final diagnosis after working hours after a few days treatment. Their dedicated work meant my cat survived a difficult few days and is now well on her way to full recovery. Read Less

Bicester Vets were fantastic as they let me visit Sooty on numerous occasions throughout the days and nights while he recovered from his operation after having a tumour removed. I was also rung late at night for reassurance. If he wouldn't eat, they called me and let me stay with him to encourage him. At times they got him out with his bedding so I could sit and lay on the floor cuddling my boy. Throughout this dreadful, emotional ordeal, I was fully supported by the staff. I was an emotional wreck but Cliff and his team were compassionate, reassuring and couldn't do enough for me. On the day of his operation, afterwards, it got too much and I got extremely upset so the lovely vet, Claire, ushered me into a room so I could calm down in private and gather my thoughts. I will never forget her kindness. It meant a lot to me. On his road to recovery, I rang Cliff at various times in an upset state as I was convinced I was going to lose Sooty. He showed me nothing but compassion and talked me through things and said that was what he was there for. I have been with Bicester Vets since March 1996 and they have been outstanding. Over the years I have recommended them to other people to register with them too as they go the extra mile for you. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Come Sept, it will be 7 years since Sooty's operation. Each visit, the receptionists are very helpful and carry him from my car, and, after his chemo (which is every month), take him back out for me again. I am very appreciative of this. Thank you Bicester Vets, your compassion, care and kindness go a long way.Read Less

My dog was vomiting so I took him in to see the vet ( Helen) she felt his tummy and said she could feel something but wasn't sure if it was his spleen or not ! So asked a few questions about him and then told us to put him on a different diet for a few weeks. We brought everything that was advised from the vets. About an hour later I called explaining that my dog was drinking ALOT more water ( bowl after bowl) and that he was quieter then he was an hour ago and still being sick ! I was advised by Helen the vet to pre book an appointment for a sickness jab , so I did.... half an hour before the appointment I called to say my dog wasn't being as sick as he was but was still drinking lots of water but very quiet in himself , I was then advised to bring him down for his jab, I took my dog in for the sickness jab , he appeared a totally different dog from that morning ! Helen gave my dog his sickness jab ( didn't reassess him even though she could see he was different ) and sent me on my way. Later that evening my dog started to drool really badly and started to bloat out ! I was very concerned and contacted the vets again , I was advised Helen had gone home but to bring my dog down. I took him in to the vets and the vet seemed very worried about him ( she was lovely ) we had a scan done and found a ball had been lodged in his intestine ! My dog was in a very bad way and unfortunately we had to make a decision to let him go as he was suffering ! I believe that Helen felt the ball on the first visit ! If she wasn't sure what she was feeling why not ask for a second opinion or as for an X-ray ? Also the second appointment when he appeared different why not reassess him? I believe the ball wasn't in his intestine on the first visit . I spoke to the practice managers who wasn't very helpful at all and we just went around in circles discussing the events on that day , of which he really didn't know when trying to discuss it with me. I cannot fault the reception staff nor the vets on in the evening as they have been amazing throughout especially the vet that evening ( thank you for your support) . I am in the process of reporting Helen as I believe she missed something very crucial and the fact she said she could feel something on the first appointment leads me to believe that.Read Less
