I paid for a full course of vaccinations for a litter of pups from Vets4pets in Solihull. The new owner of a pup wanted to collect it before the second injections at 10 weeks. As the breeder, I checked with the Solihull branch that the second injections would be honoured at any Vets4pets which they said it would. The new owner then checked with Vets4pets Oxford Cowley who said there should not be a problem. After taking the puppy to Vets4pets Cowley, they insisted the new owners pay 40 pounds, it was pointed out that the fee was already paid and they practice should call Solihull branch to confirm but they point blank refused to call and told the new owner to send the receipt to me. Solihull branch has stated their attitude in this matter is disgraceful. My Opinion is that any prospective pet owner avoid this practice and find a more ethical veterinary practice Read Less

I don't recommend this surgery at all especially for small animals. Staff have no clue about diagnosis and treatment and just prescribe some standard drugs without finding out the problem. Moreover they gave us wrong dosage of antibitic (10-fold higher than max dose) on the prescribtion what could have led to catastrophic results. Fortunately we found this mistake before administrating the drug to our animal. Anyway, after few visits in this surgery and spending quite a lot of money, our dear pet passed away despite of the vets reassuring us that everything was fine. Read Less

Do not go there with your small pets. The receptionist deliberately lied about having a small animal specialist in their clinic when I asked about it. However, when we arrived, the vet obviously did not know what to ask, and couldn't even weight my degu as they had no equipment for that - and then said she's only seen this kind of animals in books and is not trained to treat them. She had no knowledge at all about small animals; as I understood this was not the first time the receptionist have lied to people about their staff in order to get them to come. At least the vet was honest - but the strategy of the clinic seems to be to lure the patients at any cost no matter what the harm is done. They also charged me for this 30 - for doing literary nothing and forcing to bring a sick animal to them pretending to be able to help. This way they also prevented us from seeing an actual specialist in time. They didn't not bother to respond to the complaint (I still feel dissapointed with myself for not refusing to pay). My degu died. I still feel this could have been avoided had I brought him to a small animal specialist in time, but it is really hard to find such vet in Oxford, especially when there are such frauds as Vets4Pets. Not recommend. Seems to rip you off on meds they sell you. Prescription Medicine 15ml Surolan we were charged 29.75 while on viovet you get it for 11.30. That's almost 3 times the online pharmacy price. Panacur Paste Syringe which usually costs around 5 or less but we were charged a good 10.54. These are besides the 32 consultation fee we have paid for a less than 10mins check up. Read Less

I took my kitten Simba there for his two boaster jabs and his microchip. They were really good to him. I even came an hour early and they manage to see me without sending me home. I like this vet so much that I convince my mum to transfer my other cats and dogs to be looked at there. This vet is really good and they actually care about the animals rather than money. The vets themselves are very friendly. I actually fainted when Simba got his microchip and they were so good to me. They even offered to give me a lift home.
