General Info
We are dedicated to gentle, compassionate care for our feline patients. We have built a team of dedicated feline veterinary surgeons and nurses who work together to provide the highest quality surgical and medical care for cats.
The Oxford Cat Clinic was established in 2006 by Caroline Blundell, and Martha Cannon, two veterinary surgeons with a passion for cats. Their aim is to allow cats and their owners to know that they are at the heart of their medical practice.
Caroline and Martha have a life-long love of cats and have spent a number of years specialising in their treatment and care. Their professional relationship began when working together at the "feline centre" in the University of Bristol department of veterinary medicine. Both vets have extra qualifications in small animal medicine, and Martha is an accredited RCVS specialist in feline medicine. Both vets are regularly asked to write about or deliver talks on the subject of cats.
In addition to the two Directors, The Oxford Cat Clinic has team of friendly and knowledgeable veterinary professionals who are on site to help answer owners' queries.

Honestly - if you have a cat and you live in Oxford this place should be your clinic. The staff are always warm, welcoming and knowledgable. Happy to give advice over the telephone if they can. They offer a fantastic service that is tailored towards the needs of your feline buddy. I switched to this vet as I was sick of going to a large company’s vetinary service (which I won’t name) and feeling like they didn’t listen to my concerns and were just trying to sell me something every time I went. At the cat clinic everything is tailored to your cat and their needs. No over treatment with unnecessary vaccinations here. I can’t recommend the place enough. I never review places but I am so impressed with this clinic that I thought I would make the effort. Read Less

We’ve been seeing the team at OCC for nearly 10 years and we always find them amazingly knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring. They’ve helped oUr boys through infections, injuries, diseases (hmmm... maybe we need healthier cats?) and they always go above and beyond to give fantastic care. They are so good, our 15 year-old boys _almost_ enjoy going there. I can’t recommend them enough, and if you want your cat to have the very best 5-star care, take them to the Oxford Cat Clinic. Today I rang to see if I could get a emergency app for my 7 week old kitten I am not registered With the clinic but as it was a emergency and the closest to me and I don't drive I rang them in a panic to see if they could help. the First Lady I spoke to was very nice. after I explained What was going on she put me on hold to see if I could b squeezed in sadly there were no spaces at this point I was very upset and asked her what I should do again she put me on hold . Then a second lady came on the phone she was very rude to me and aggressive on the phone Clearly having a bad day and told me as I was not registered With them they would not see my kitten even though it was an emergency gave me no advice or help what so ever ! Sadly my kitten died that day in my arms on the bus on my way to another vet that was a across town so thank you ! I understand you guys may be busy and are fully booked but as a animal lover I would do my best to at least help as much as I could .Read Less

We've been with the cat clinic for over 5 years so that says a lot about the service they deliver. Our vet Eleanor has always been very informative, knowledgeable and sympathetic when it comes to the health of our cats. You can make last-minute appointments with ease and the love they all have for felines is heart-warming. I wouldn't trust taking my cats anywhere else but here! Read Less

My anxious cat Willow likes to make any event involving the carrier as stressful as possible but once we made it to the clinic we were in great hands. Our vet Christine was lovely and managed to get even Willow to explore the room/allow a check up to be done. The staff are lovely and able to put both anxious cats and their anxious humans at ease. Thanks for taking such great care of us! Read Less

The Oxford Cat Clinic is a very welcoming place run by staff who love cats. I feel very confident that my cat is in safe hands. They've given me expert advice, and helped me through the highs and lows of cat ownership with sensitivity, care and skill. I feel very lucky to have this excellent practice so close to where I live and would recommend it to anyone. Read Less

Always knew that if my cat needed any investigations done I'd take him to the Oxford cat clinic (despite the one hour drive and being a vet myself). So pleased I did! Being on the client side for once was so scary but I had full confidence in the team and knew Wolfie was in the best hands. I couldn't believe how quickly and how well he recovered from the anaesthetic. If only I lived closer I'd bring him to OOC for all his veterinary needs :) thanks so much. Read Less
