I cannot put into words how wonderful the Vets4Pets staff are. They consistently go far beyond the call of duty and have skill, knowledge and utter compassion in absolute abundance. Not only have they taken such great care of my pets; they've also helped me deal with the loss of my puppy, for which I am incredibly grateful. Truly amazing people! Oh, and my dog loves the staff too... Read Less

I am soo thankful for the support & advice I have received from the whole team, each & everyone of whom has been amazing. Ollie had trapped his toe in a puppy crate, & practuly amputated it, there was absolutely no hesitation in his treatment, even when i explained Ollie wasn't insured at that point, which has ment Ollie has been able to keep his toe! granted he's been in a full leg splint for 5 weeks now, but fingers crossed. I work in retail and know very few people will take the time to write a good review, in my opinion this amazing team deserve it. Read Less

If I could give this a lesser rating, I would - because I would not wish for anyone to receive the service I had from this vets recently. My rabbit was adopted from the Pets at Home store in Botley, and I was given a free neutering voucher when I took him home. Free service worth 60? Anyone would be silly to turn that down! But trust me - you should.
The condition my rabbit was returned to me in was appalling - his stomach was covered (and I'm talking absolutely drenched here) in his own blood due to a burst blood vessel, and it was clear he was in discomfort. I was rushed in and out of the consultation room in less than a minute, given no aftercare advice or even a chance to see how he was within his carrier it wasnt until I got him home that I could thoroughly check him over.
I wont bore you with all the details, but he ended up spending the next 24 hours at their emergency vets (which thank god is a completely independent surgery from Companion Care) where he was pumped with various antibiotics, painkillers and had a blood transfusion. I was told it was a surprise that he hadnt gone into shock and passed away from the volume of blood loss. I was landed with a 300 bill for the care that could have been prevented if the operation was done properly in the first place. They have no overnight facilities at their surgeries, so if something goes wrong theyll just kick you out the door and send you elsewhere.
I wrote a letter of complaint to their head office in Wantage after this incident, and it was shrugged off as something I must have done in transporting him home and they had the cheek to include 10 in Pets at Home vouchers as compensation!
I was incredibly upset by this incident and almost losing a pet that is very dear to me. One bad experience is enough to ensure I do not return to them again.
