What a great vet practice. All the staff were great. Archie our golden lab seen Alex the vet quite often and we must say he is fantastic. Thrums is the best vet! My poor cat Marley (not even 2 so still a baby) had an accident (not 100% sure if was a car or what had happened) and had to have his front leg amputated and one of his canines out. They were so helpful and did an amazing job! Plus its only been a couple days and Marley is as happy as he was before Except for having to be stuck inside for now hah Couldnt recommend thrums enough. Lovely to catch up with Gavin at Thrums Veterinary Group this evening with the DearestDarlingDaisyDrizzlePoop. Full check up, manicure, and AOK after the vomiting session yesterday, to which Colin took time to react on the phone. She has been given meds and another appt in Kirriemuir on Monday when we are back up from Fife. It was special to meet again someone who had taken such good care of our 5 Kirrie Danes after so long. The service level is quite honestly exceptional. Moved away from the area over three years ago and after one trip to a local veterinary practice, I reregistered all my pets back with Thrums. They've came out to perform surgery on my dog on Christmas morning, have made home visits for my cat with dementia, and in sadder moments, made the passing of much loved family members that little bit easier to cope with. Kerriemuir vets are Absolute waste of space and time wouldn't look at my dog or give a bit of advice about him unless I had money up front!! My dog got hit by a car an all that could say was I need money first that's not what you call intrest for animals that's pure money grabbing!!!! Read Less

Whilst visiting Blairgowrie for the day with my Father and my son our tiny, rescue chihuahua, Peanut swallowed a fish hook. I rushed to Thrums where even though I was not a registered client they whisked Peanut off and performed life saving surgery. Not only did they save our dogs life they also offered me a cuppa and a kit kat! Warm, welcoming, friendly staff, who really helped put me at ease. My puppy Rory has just finished his three weeks of Puppy Party! It was absolutely fantastic and the veterinary nurses and everyone who helped out were superb. This vet's business practice is scarey, for anyone calling Thrums Vets in Forfar, Kirremuir and Blairgowrie, they record ALL calls without giving you a warning, you could be divulging personal information and you have no idea your call or your information is being stored....what on earth are these guys playing at, they are not a large financial institution or a Government body, they are a rural vets practice for crying outloud. Why would they fail to inform you that all your information and your conversations are being stored? You would have to ask them but it's probably best if you don't call as big brother will be watching you....... Read Less
