My wife and I were on holiday with our little furry friends (Bichon Frise twins Della + Dee ) , when one of them needed to see the vet and abbey vets was our first port of call.
The staff were fantasticly helpful on reception , the vetinary Dr Amanda saw us straight away and was superbly professional and extremely friendly.
Once again thank you for helping us out and caring for our little Della when she needed you guys 🐶

Excellent vets. We have dogs 9 yrs & 5 yrs and have been going here for about 4 years, I can honestly say the staff are amazing. Unlike the other reviewer the lady with the strong welsh accent is our favourite :-) she makes a real fuss of the dogs and they absolutely love her.

The receptionist, a strong Welsh speaking lady has no people skills and is abrupt. We had our dog as a pup microchipped there, to find out that one day he got out from the house premises to be scanned by another veterinary centre just below our house, to find out the chip contained no information regarding the owner of the dog

My daughters cat was attacked and had a badly injured hind leg. Abbey Vets took her in and amputated the leg and within 10 days she has healed completely and had her stitches out and can do everything...
My daughters cat was attacked and had a badly injured hind leg. Abbey Vets took her in and amputated the leg and within 10 days she has healed completely and had her stitches out and can do everything she could do before. She jumps, runs, has caught a mouse and chased birds and rabbits. We were very trepidatious but were advised it was the best course of action and they were correct. The staff were all very caring and informative.

I am not one to write such a negative review but due to your attitude towards me and what happened I feel the need to warn people of your practice. My dog went in with poisoning after eating chewing gum all was fine he was monitored overnight and I went to collect him the following day to be told they had something 'embarrassing to tell me' I was then told they had sedated my dog instead of the dog they were supposed to sedate! This was very worrying due to the type of breed I have and the size difference in each dog, not that abbey were concerned they sent him home in a complete state! And had the audacity to get me to pay my insurance excess and proceeding to rinse my insurance of nearly 800.00! Abbey told me that they would change their protocol but that doesn't help me does it! It's happened to MY dog! I wasn't even offered the excess back as a gesture of good will! I'm glad your got all your money though abbey vets!!

Would highly recommend abbey vets, my dog was coughing all night so they did xrays just incase and there was a fish hook stuck in his throat! He went in at 1.00pm and was able to pick him up at 5.00pm...
Would highly recommend abbey vets, my dog was coughing all night so they did xrays just incase and there was a fish hook stuck in his throat! He went in at 1.00pm and was able to pick him up at 5.00pm, luckly the hook wasn't in his stomach. all staff seemed very caring! Thanks

I would never use this practice again after paying 400 at 5 I was taking my dog back in at 5.10 to be put to sleep which cost a futher 110 I left with tablets that They prescribed for my dog wasn't even offered a discount or the tablets back and no answers as to why my dogs poor heart condition wasn't picked up before they operated so let down its not about the animal it's all about the money down there

Today we had to have one of our chickens euthanized. We had a choice of vets much nearer and chose Abbey because they had vets who know chickens. We saw a young lady vet who was beyond superb in bedside manner and all aspects. Youth is no bar to talent! Well worth the 40 miles round trip. I cannot praise this practice enough . Thank you .

My wife and I were on holiday with our little furry friends (Bichon Frise twins Della + Dee ) , when one of them needed to see the vet and abbey vets was our first port of call.
The staff were fantasticly helpful on reception , the vetinary Dr Amanda saw us straight away and was superbly professional and extremely friendly.

We had our dog as a pup microchipped there, to find out that one day he got out from the house premises to be scanned by another veterinary centre just below our house, to find out the chip contained no information regarding the owner of the dog

My daughters cat was attacked and had a badly injured hind leg. Abbey Vets took her in and amputated the leg and within 10 days she has healed completely and had her stitches out and can do everything she could do before. She jumps, runs, has caught a mouse and chased birds and rabbits. We were very trepidatious but were advised it was the best course of action and they were correct. The staff were all very caring and informative.

I am not one to write such a negative review but due to your attitude towards me and what happened I feel the need to warn people of your practice. Today we had to have one of our chickens euthanized. We had a choice of vets much nearer and chose Abbey because they had vets who know chickens. We saw a young lady vet who was beyond superb in bedside manner and all aspects. Youth is no bar to talent! Well worth the 40 miles round trip. I cannot praise this practice enough . Thank you .
