We have been coming to hafren for many years with all our furry family and have never had a bad experience. They listen to you , take on board what you're saying but at the end of the day they don't want to see a pet suffer and they do the right thing by them. My dog goes to newtown vets as thats were she had all her jabs and found they were caring and help full and alot cheaper....... needed some eye drops for her, and cant get to newtown till car is fixed wich will be soon but wanted the drops for the mean time, so went to llani vest to tell them my circumstances and the dog was in pain, and just coz shes not registered there they cant help, do u no why.... coz all they care about if farm animals and people that are with them full time so they can get as much money out of them. Recently moved to the area and registered with Hafren on a recommendation from a friend. Last week in the middle of the night, one of my horses went down with severe colic - I called and got straight through to a lady who arranged for a vet to come out, Paul one of the vets was there within half an hour which considering the time of night and never having been to our farm before, was brilliant! Paul was very calm and administered medication and stayed until Ben seemed more comfortable. Unfortunately Ben deteriorated and we then had Kate out the following morning and afternoon - she was also very good and was very honest about the situation. Kate was very supportive when we had to make the decision to have Ben put to sleep. She even went away and found us a local cremation company. I cannot rate this practice highly enough and feel very confident that 'god forbid' I need a vet again, I can rely on this service again. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else - and the dogs concur! The only vet I would trust - very caring and nothing to much trouble. If your animal has any joint problems, ask at the Newtown surgery about acupuncture - they will refer you to Cross Gates or LLani - and I can personally highly recommend it Read Less

Di was superb with Bella! She had fractured her leg quite bad and the only thing our local vet could do was amputate but Di managed to save her leg by putting little pins in! Bella was four months when she did this she will be two this December and couldn't be more happier and free to run around like she loves to! Thank you so much for the care and aftercare Bella received we both are so grateful and thankful of what you did. We travelled a bit from blaenau ffestiniog but it was all worth it!
