Poor care and affection shown to owner and pet and a lack of dignity, my concern is of the terrible communication between Morris the french bulldog and his owner, while coming from a different part of the UK the owner was never informed fully as to why her dog was taken from her other than trading standards had to take the dog for quarantine which sad as it may be is not the problem at hand, having pets and always using shore vet previously having 2 Doberman’s and a boxer I am gob smacked as to how this vet surgery acted purely on the compassion and information side! Never being able to say goodbye while the puppy had to quarantine even during this COVID pandemic where we need our pets the most not being able to say goodbye is heart wrenching enough but to not even be told the full story as to why is more unforgiving. And to be told “just phone trading standards they will tell you” I find that really lacking in care and to phone back for more answers there response “ well were all on our lunch so maybe later” which came from the receptionist I I am most upset and won’t be back.

Most disappointed with care and affection shown to pet and owner during this time,
Morris a french bulldog was handed over to trading standards and taken away from her owner to quarantine for 3 weeks as the dog came from Ireland. No problem the dog had to quarantine the horrible and deplorable issue was the lack of information the vet supplied and did not even let us say goodbye and the response is the coldest I have ever experienced having a pet with them for the past 8 years since a change of venue there seems to be a change in care and honour between animal and owner which is shocking and certainly not what I expect from This place i and all family are most upset and urge no one use this place until More serious care and changes are made the lack of care hurts the most.

The nurses are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and always have time for a chat.
The vets are great and can't be faulted. Mostly I see Deborah and have seen Nigel a couple of times. Both are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, caring and very thorough. Both take their time with check ups and I feel confident leaving the consultation. I highly recommend them.

I cannot praise the staff enough at Shore Street. They say and do everything they can to make you and your pet feel comfortable. It's quite obvious that they care about the pets. I recently had my dog in for an emergency small operation. The nurse was so caring about my dog Molly and explained everything very well as well as writing it down for us. She showed that she really cared about Molly. We were very anxious and she managed to make us feel relaxed when we came to collect Molly. A big Thank you to the nurse and to all the staff there as they do a great job.

We have been pet owners for over 43 years and during that time have had the pleasure of owning 6 dogs and 5 cats. When our first vet retiring coincided with Mr Martin setting up practice in Shore Street in Gourock in 1992 we were delighted to add ourselves to his growing list of clients and to entrust the care of our pets to him and his excellent staff.
They have continued, for 23 years to date, with professionalism, to always meet the needs of our pet family and us with kindness and consideration.
Greatly appreciated and highly recommended.

I cannot praise the staff enough at Shore Street. They say and do everything they can to make you and your pet feel comfortable. It's quite obvious that they care about the pets.
