Shame on this vets practice for discrimination against older dogs, being totally uninterested in taking them on as new patients while openly advertising looking for new clients with puppies.
Having my dog fully insured money should not be an issue, not even interested in an emergency, I'm at a loss how this practice can say they're interested in animal welfare.

I was offered a telephone appointment for my dog when she had an injured leg which i would have had to pay £45 for. I got an appointment so went down and was asked to walk my dog less than 20 yards. The vet came back out with her less than 5 mins later. I asked for an xray for her and was told they couldnt tell just now with an xray so come back in a couple of weeks if she still had the same problem and the would do an xray. NO WONDER THIS PRACTICE IS BEING SLATED ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA. ABBEY VETS. YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!. YOU ALSO KEEP PETS ALIVE TILL THE INSURANCE MONEY RUNS OUT THEN ADVISE FOR THE PET TO BE PUT TO SLEEP. YOU LOT SHOULDNT BE IN A JOB. END OF!!!!!

We have used Abbey for maybe 30 years now. I think it's the best vet around. The staff, including the receptionists they are very knowledgeable and happy to help. The vets ars amazing they listen to any concerns and answer all questions. Jasmine is my first puppy and they have helped me every step of the way with her. Thank you Abbey for the care with the grade 1 heart murmur she had they assured me that it would likely heal on its own. Jasmine was monitored every 4 weeks until now and it has gone now.

This vet is only interested in money, all vets should be in the business for the love of animals, I had a large dog the pdsa said they would be willing to take him on told me to take him to the abbey vet were he would be seen to , , when I got there they said he was to big we cant take him on, I got back to the pdsa who said they will pay get a form and take it ti the abbey I did this they told me again no if u can afford a big dog I should be able to afford to pay for treatment , I rescued him from a bad life took him to abbey paid 396 for treatment, , that was when I was working , now I need help there not interested, stay away.had to use this vet again the vet who put the dog down was ok, it was my girl friends dog, since I was there I asked for a pdsa form ,I was told as ure girlfriend still has an outstanding balance with us we will give u a form when shes paid it of, so in the meantime if my dog gets unwell ill have to pay I told them im uneployed the replied tough.

This is a great money making franchise. Do NOT use this vet if u love ur pet. Their ONLY interest is money. Due 2 financial circumstances they will not stamp a pdsa form for my 15yr old dog. They said pay us 30 (the last of my bill) then it can b stamped but if I require more treatment for my gravely ill dog they would gladly give me tick-knowing I can't afford to b in debt but whn i have a dog that really neefs 2 b seen wht am I 2 do?? I say this practice should b banned....

We have used Abbey for maybe 30 years now. I think it's the best vet around. The staff, including the receptionists they are very knowledgeable and happy to help. The vets ars amazing they listen to any concerns and answer all questions. Jasmine is my first puppy and they have helped me every step of the way with her.
