Used theas vets as dog was registerd here after my dog was atacked friendly vet told me not to worry as i did not have enough funds in my banck due to not getting paied from work till end of the week ...
Used theas vets as dog was registerd here after my dog was atacked friendly vet told me not to worry as i did not have enough funds in my banck due to not getting paied from work till end of the week , that i could pay some small amount and then set up standing order monthly payments till balance cleard . Went to pick dog up next day they tried charging £500 before they would relese the dog to me i told them vet had agreed to let me pay smal dep then standing order they replied no this is our company polocy we can not releace the dog sunless they get the payment so basickly lying to a customare then holding sick dog at 500 pound ransom . My husband got very cross and told them they were being unreasonable and that we would not be paying the bill in one goe they told us they would not give us our animal back unless we paid the money . We refused they said well ok pay 250 pound i said no we dont have the funds available. cant you lend it off any one ?. And well if you cant afford to own a pet dont have one ! All snide coments poor customare services .Discusting behavyour .
They eventualy let us take the dog but then refused to relece medication for sick injured pet unless we payed them there and then for them . Theas ppl have our addresse,
pet is registerd im not going to run away they will get there money . But still poor treetment. I Had five wimen
Shouting at my husband as he was trying to reson with them in the end we left disgruntled after paying for medication and seting up direct debit there and then before they would let us take our sick pet home and police was called because of all the shouting all in all terible servises they broke consumer rights act and caused loads of stress give havren vets newtown powys a swerve they will hold your sick pet at ransom if you dont have hundreds of pounds lying around for a rainy day . And dont really care about your pet ITS YOUR MONEY THEY WANT .

Recently moved to the area and registered with Hafren on a recommendation from a friend. Last week in the middle of the night, one of my horses went down with severe colic - I called and got straight through to a lady who arranged for a vet to come out, Paul one of the vets was there within half an hour which considering the time of night and never having been to our farm before, was brilliant! Paul was very calm and administered medication and stayed until Ben seemed more comfortable. Unfortunately Ben deteriorated and we then had Kate out the following morning and afternoon - she was also very good and was very honest about the situation. Kate was very supportive when we had to make the decision to have Ben put to sleep. She even went away and found us a local cremation company. I cannot rate this practice highly enough and feel very confident that 'god forbid' I need a vet again, I can rely on this service again. Thank you Paul and Kate and the lady on the end of the phone!

Diane was absolutely amazing! The stress and upset of our 4.5 month old puppy breaking her leg whilst on holiday in Wales was awful but Diane couldn't of helped more. The care before, after and throughout has been fantastic and Penny is now on the mend. A credit to Hafren Vets! Thank you!

I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else - and the dogs concur! The only vet I would trust - very caring and nothing to much trouble. If your animal has any joint problems, ask at the Newtown surgery about acupuncture - they will refer you to Cross Gates or LLani - and I can personally highly recommend it
