Our beautiful 6 year old leonburger became ill with a high temperature and excessive urination, they gave her antibiotics, which initially seemed to help, but as soon as she finished them her high temperature returned, she was then admitted for rehydration and intravenous antibiotics, no tests were done to find out what was causing her symptoms and she was sent home still very unwell, after a month of her illness and her getting more sick i took her in as an emergency, they kept us waiting in the waiting area with my dog in a state of collapse for 20 minutes before i eventually saw a 'vet' I had to beg for another 20 minutes for him to find out the cause of her illness as I said she would die if they did not, his reply was 'I don't think that will happen' he reluctantly agreed to get a specialist vet to look at her, although stressed, it would be expensive. ?I left her in their 'care' and have been beating myself up ever since, they rang me the next morning to tell me she was dead, i was horrified, when I told them I wanted to pick her up they said ' are you sure, she's a very big dog?, i guess they would have preferred me to put her in the skip with the other poor animals. I told them when I would be there to collect her, but still they kept me waiting for 20 minutes before they brought her still warm body out, I only wish I had taken her to another vets and not left her with them. Three months later they sent me a reminder to pay the 1200 bill they never sent me, I won't repeat my reply to them here but they agreed to waive the bill. This place is all about the money and not the health of their patients, I would never recommend this place to anyone after my experience, that was 3 years ago and I still get upset thinking about her dying in a cage, in pain on her own.
