The actual vets themselves I would rate a 5*. We have used the practice for Out of hours emergency’s on a couple occasions and can’t fault the vets and nurses that have dealt with us. The receptionist on the other hand. This is the reason we do not like to use Langport vets. On the occasions we have had to use them there has been one receptionist who is extremely rude!!! Our cat unfortunately had to be put to sleep the other night. The next morning we went to collect our little boys body not knowing how much we would be charged etc. The receptionist was very rude and demanded a large sum of money up front and wouldn’t take the fact we would pay half then and the rest later on when we could get the money together. She wasn’t apologetic about the fact the we have just lost one of our family members and she handed him over to us in the main waiting room in front of other customers with no sorry or anything. A previous pet that was put to sleep many years ago they would call you through say sorry for your loss and let you out of the back door. I am disgusted by the way the receptionist dealt with us and this is the only reason for us not using our local vets on a regular basis. Your rude receptionist is letting you down. Read Less

Clean and tidy with kind and caring staff. Reasonably priced for Somerset.Very friendly staff. 24hr emergency cover offered. I have used them for all of my animals for close to 20yrs. They also run the practice in street. Honest diagnosis and they will direct you to specialist providers when in the animals best interest. Car park is small however a free public car park is very close on the other side of the road. Read Less

I'm ridiculous, couldn't afford to take my hamster to the vet but we love her and didn't want her to die in pain. Phoned and was told consultation was £20 odd quid and euthanasia if nessacery included. Very reasonable I thought. Co-co perked up on her outing and the vet was quick to note that although she was geriatric, she was not ready to go just yet. Thankyou for looking carefully, and thankyou for not righting her off. We all really love her x Read Less

Vet I spoke to out of hours was friendly and gave options. But vet who saw my cat was very dismissive, grumpy and made me feel like I was wasting his time. He didn't bother to find out any history, even though she'd been under anaesthetic and diagnosed with issues symptomatic of the problems I took her in for. The next day my cat was worse so I took her to a different practice and was told she should have been seen to properly. Reception also seemed quite chaotic. Read Less
