When the opportunity presented itself to build a brand new surgery with ample parking outside of Taunton town centre, we relished the chance to expand the services we already provide. Recently, traffic around Bridge Street (not to mention parking) has been a challenge to say the least. The new surgery will have the following benefits: ■Easy access ■Ample, free parking ■State of the art digital x-ray facility ■Separate cat and dog waiting area and wards We will continue to provide a fully comprehensive veterinary service (including surgical procedures, dentals and x-rays) at our Blackbrook surgery in Lisieux Way. By changing the name to Tone Vets we are incorporating the well known Taunton river to reflect the wide area that our practice will now cover (the 3 locations are North West, South East and Town Centre) in order to make it easier for clients to get to us. With the logo, we decided to keep some of our existing identity, but to also add an apple tree to keep to the heritage and importance of the apple industry in Somerset, especially as the Cider works originally was in Norton Mills.

my dog was not given adequate pain relief even though the vet could see he was in pain. It was confusing that the vet took the dog out the back to examine him with the nurses, I wondered why the veterinary nurse was not in the consulting room with the vet. The vet told me she was going to give my dog some pain relief before examining. She then said to bring him back the next day for tests. She gave me some painkillers to give to the dog later. When we got home my dog collapsed and was in so much pain had to make a homemade stretcher to take him back to the vets with the help of a neighbour. I feel if the vet had made sure the dog had adequate pain relief injection before allowing him to leave the surgery it could have been a much better experience all round. As it was the experience was traumatic. I felt I had to make a very rushed decision to have my dog euthanised because I couldn't allow him to be suffering in pain like that. Read Less

Gave misleading information and when I asked about it they were defensive and rude rather than apologetic. Do not trust your beloved animals to these people. Pricing for a communal cremation of a rabbit was SIX times higher than a practice just a mile or so away (Kingfisher). It makes you wonder how much they are overcharging for other services.

i went for my yearly check up yesterday and mum and me didn't like the lady vet she was hard to talk to and when mum ask her any think she jus look and gave mum a short replie and then she tool me away in to another room to have a blood test mum wants to know why she couldn't do it with mum n dad there i don't want to see that lady vet again as mum has some question to ask and she just couldn't i will see my friend ben from now on we might be all old but there is a way of seeing to me and talking to my mum and dad and as for the free weight check we can walk in any time and have that so now it sounds like you charging us for having to weight us to i have used this vet since 1989 and this is the only time i have being disappointed with you Read Less
