Newton Clarke Veterinary Surgeons have two veterinary practices, caring for cats, dogs and small mammals, in Sherborne at Swan House and Yeovil at Wyndham Hill. We offer personal and professional care using modern medical facilities. Working together with a range of external specialists, we provide a trustworthy, comprehensive and compassionate service for both pets and their owners.
We offer a personal, compassionate general practice service to pet owners with second opinions and referrals when necessary to nearby specialists. Mark Newton-Clarke, and Matt Saunders are the principal veterinary surgeons, and Kate Knill is a full-time colleague.
We aim to provide the highest standard of care for your pet, whether healthcare advice or dealing with complex medical or surgical problems. We build relationships with owners and their animals based on trust and mutual respect and always welcome questions on any aspect of your pet's treatment. Our goal is to provide transparent, compassionate care for your pet lifelong. All staff maintain a high standard of technical ability through continuous professional development. We believe in preventative healthcare to identify behavioural and medical problems early on in their development and we believe in early intervention. Have been coming to Newton Clarke Vets for many years and have always found them to be Professional, Compassionate and Friendly. We usually see Matt or Kate. We wouldn't choose to go anywhere else...
Have been coming to Newton Clarke Vets for many years and have always found them to be Professional, Compassionate and Friendly. We usually see Matt or Kate. We wouldn't choose to go anywhere else and are happy to travel a few extra miles to stay with them following a house move 16 years ago.
Our dogs have been in patients on a number of occasions and have been extremely well looked after by the wonderful nurses. Thank you all.

Can always get first class service from caring vets . Would not dream of going anywhere else even if they saw to my cats for free..Staff very friendly and helpful even after a hard day

There ain't enough room for what should be said about the Yeovil Newton Clarke vets ..... My American bulldog was there until yesterday my dog saw kate and Matt well i requested to see either of them...
There ain't enough room for what should be said about the Yeovil Newton Clarke vets ..... My American bulldog was there until yesterday my dog saw kate and Matt well i requested to see either of them my bully hated vets it over time she began to trust they were there to help unfortunately no more could be done for mine she was too ill but I'd would highly recommend the vets to anybody even change your vets to them they gave me there up most truthfulness and honesty they don't say you need this and that if you dont to make a few extra pounds they are BY FAR THE BEST VETS AROUND all very friendly caring people that are underestimated.... Thank you Kate for everything you done for suki and Matt a big Thankyou to you for Last night Tues 26th for letting me have that extra time with her to say goodbye may not be much but youl never know what that ment to me 5 stars ain't enough to give you all you all deserve more far more Thank you again chris and suki 🐾

I have to say a huge thank you to Matt and Kate for looking after my special puppy Khaleesi after her spay and complications that went with it, it would be one of my animals! She's a bit of a complex case but she's on the mend now and is much happier and almost back to normal (if there is such a thing!) id love to add some photos!

On holiday in Stowell and our dog decided to somehow nearly cut his right upper pad off. Not a problem apart from we were leaving to catch a train from Paris to Moscow and couldn't afford to miss it. ...
On holiday in Stowell and our dog decided to somehow nearly cut his right upper pad off. Not a problem apart from we were leaving to catch a train from Paris to Moscow and couldn't afford to miss it. Well these guys got us in at 9 on a Saturday , operated on my hound and by midday we were on our way. Just a brilliant, efficient and friendly service. If I lived nearby they'd be our vets.

We have faith in newton Clarke they have looked after our cocker spaniel for years when his time came they help us say goodbye in a very synthetic way did not rush us just let us say goodbye in own time now we have Alfie a sprocker puppy eight months old and matt and kate look after him from form eight weeks old advise on everything thing to do for a Alfie all the we forgot after 12 years with our old dog so when take Alfie for his check up we know he get the best care x
