Both my Springer Spaniels go here for treatment and checks.Jake is 10 and his brother Sam is 6.Always the reception girls are lovely.They show love and affection for the dogs and engage in my interests too.The vets are very patient and understanding as are the nurses who do health checks.Some reviews complain that the costs are expensive.I do not find any great difference to my previous vet Summerhill in Newport.You cannot put a price on the professional care of your pet and as the saying goes you get what you pay for.Well at Park Vets Cardiff you get top notch care and attention from everyone at the practice.I will use them as long as I live in the area and recommend them 100% to care for your loved pet. Like the 3 star rating: it's okay. But that's about it. They are apparently doing a good job and are nice. But in my opinion, they expedite it way to fast. Today was first visit for my cat who arrived with me from the USA and had a not seen a UK vet yet. He had a little problem with back paw nails and needed vaccin booster. Nails were checked and vaccin given. Then I was given a vaccination and health check record and the vet left it mostly blank. Did not weight my cat or checked his microchip, or have a look at his teeth or eyes or I don't know whatever should be checked in a routine exam. The only other thing they did, beside what I asked for, was checking his heart rate. So okay it's not super expensive, about 40GBP but you clearly don't get much for that. Read Less

Every occasion that I have to take my dog into the Vets, they give him a steroid injection no matter what the issue! And when in the room with the Vet they add extra uneccery tablets or drops or sprays, without stating a price! I get to the till and seems to be 70150 for minor issues like ear drops and fleas! I had a very positive experience last Friday. Even if not registrered, the surgery managed to get me an appointment within a few hours. The vet was a very kind and helpful lady, who took the time to explain me everything in details. Highly recommended - I will come back!!! Read Less

Outstanding veterinary practice ... Allowed us in last minute, even when it was past their closing time on a Saturday, and even though we were not even registered with them. I have been taking my animals to this group since it opened to small animals in the early 70's. They remain in my opinion the best practice in Cardiff. From the receptionists to the vets themselves, the service and care is excellent and I have been wonderfully supported through many joys and sorrows over the years. I cannot recommend highly enough. Excellent service, very reasonably priced. They have always explained what treatment options are available and what they involve. They provide their own out of hours service so the vet treating your animal has access to medical history etc. They have treated all sorts of animals for us and our family have used them for four generations. In our opinion no other vets in the area compare. Read Less
