A wonderful small veterinary practice,
I've had all my rabbits spayed and neutered here without so much as the smallest blip. They've done good by all my fluffs. They even helped one of my does with her teeth as they grew unaligned they helped keep her teeth trimmed. Fantastic place that really does good.

We recently brought one of our elderly (stray) cats in, managed to get an appointment straight away. The Receptionist was lovely as was the female Vet. We feared the worst as our cat was very poorly and not eating. After an examination and some eyedrops with some anti-inflammatory, Sooty has recovered well and is running around like a young kitten! Highly recommended. Thank you all! x

Recently had a spay done on my 6 month old kitten and my vets didn't have walk in surgery till afternoon but we needed to be seen in the morning ideally so my vets transferred my information to your vets, they were very helpful as it was a walk in service had to wait a little while but that's to be expected and we received help and support from the staff. very friendly and would definitely recommend.

Taken awhile to write this...... My dog odie couldn't move his back legs last December.... In terrible pain and terrified...... Pethertons were amazing...... Thought I would lose him..... But they wouldn't let me give up on him. Months of cage rest... Physio.... And patience and he walks..... Strangely but happily..... He runs..... Well bunny hops..... But such a happy boy...... He, ll be on anti inflammitories for life at a guess..... But I, v got my baby back.... And grandchildren got their playmate back. Can, t thank them enough for their time their belief and encouragement (and mopping their floor when his incontinence was bad) and odie thanks them all..... Angels everyone

I would highly recommend this veterinary practice. Ziska was so kind when he had to make the awful decision to put our Betty to sleep. She came to the house and was so gentle with our lovely old girl and helped her cross the rainbow bridge so peacefully. And We will always be greatful. We have recently become the very proud parents to 3 surprise puppies who had their first visit this week. Everyone loved them and we had more surprising news that our Dave was a little girl !!!! After a lot of laughter she is now called Dolly. So thank you I have shed a lot of tears and now it was time for laughter. You all do a fantastic job and are much appreciated. Thank you x

Been going to the practice in Barry for quite a few years now & I wouldn't dream go to another vets now. Rhian & Ziska are amazing, as well as the Veterinary nurses. They provided amazing care to my Westie who we sadly lost a few weeks ago. Her life was definitely prolonged thanks to the care and love they provided her with. I took my 18 month old Beagle here for the first time yesterday after going to a different vets since a puppy, we decided to change her to this practi...ce so both her and my other dog were under the same care and because I wasn't too keen on the other vets. The difference in my beagle was incredible. Before she hated going to the vets, she would cower by the door and refuse to go on the table. Yesterday, she wasn't anxious or nervous at all, she loved Rhian to bits and had everything done that she needed without any fuss whatsoever. I wouldn't take my two dogs anywhere else. All the staff at Petherton are amazing, so friendly and approachable. Over the years Scott has gone above and beyond in looking after my pets, especially my bengal cat Cairo, who had a heart problem from birth. Sadly after 6 wondeful years Cairo was put to sleep in July, but I will always be thankful that it was also Scott who performed that procedure. Everyone in the Rumney branch has been so supportive since, I could not not ask for a better bunch of people to care for my animals! Amazing people!

As I write this with tears in my eyes, I can only say there are not enough stars for me to give an appropriate rating to Pethertons. We took our dearly loved Scampi to Pethertons this time last year as he was having difficulty walking, well he was old bless him. There was the obvious solution of letting him go, but we were offered medication to see if things improve. We opted for the meds as he means so much to us. One year later, Thursday gone, we finally said goodbye to our beloved, loyal family member Scampi. The staff were so loving and caring to both myself and my husband. Gave us all the time we needed and were fantastic with Scampi in his final moments. This only proves to me how much Pethertons truly care about our pets, and the families they are part of. They are not money driven unlike other veterinary chains/stores or they would have suggested putting Scampi to rest last year as it cost a great deal more than his med. I really can't thank all the staff enough for giving us one more blessed year with our beloved Lil boy and for being so kind, caring and thoughtful. I truly recommend your services and if we ever have another pet you will be the only veterinary practice we would EVER use.

We feared the worst as our cat was very poorly and not eating. After an examination and some eyedrops with some anti-inflammatory, Sooty has recovered well and is running around like a young kitten! I would highly recommend this veterinary practice. Ziska was so kind when he had to make the awful decision to put our Betty to sleep. She came to the house and was so gentle with our lovely old girl and helped her cross the rainbow bridge so peacefully. And We will always be greatful. All the staff at Petherton are amazing, so friendly and approachable. Over the years Scott has gone above and beyond in looking after my pets, especially my bengal cat Cairo, who had a heart problem from birth. Sadly after 6 wondeful years Cairo was put to sleep in July, but I will always be thankful that it was also Scott who performed that procedure. Everyone in the Rumney branch has been so supportive since, I could not not ask for a better bunch of people to care for my animals! Amazing people!

I have found them extremely supportive when my pets have been ill and very compassionate when my pets have had to be put to sleep. Thank you x

As I write this with tears in my eyes, I can only say there are not enough stars for me to give an appropriate rating to Pethertons. We took our dearly loved Scampi to Pethertons this time last year as he was having difficulty walking, well he was old bless him. There was the obvious solution of letting him go, but we were offered medication to see if things improve. We opted for the meds as he means so much to us. One year later, Thursday gone, we finally said goodbye to our beloved, loyal family member Scampi. The staff were so loving and caring to both myself and my husband. Gave us all the time we needed and were fantastic with Scampi in his final moments. This only proves to me how much Pethertons truly care about our pets, and the families they are part of. They are not money driven unlike other veterinary chains/stores or they would have suggested putting Scampi to rest last year as it cost a great deal more than his med. I really can't thank all the staff enough for giving us one more blessed year with our beloved Lil boy and for being so kind, caring and thoughtful. I truly recommend your services and if we ever have another pet you will be the only veterinary practice we would EVER use.
