Dont bother! We were holidaying in Wales, brought our dog here as she had a problem with her paw, the staff were completely disinterested and bordering on rude. Told us they wouldn't help and still charged us a consult fee for our trouble. Useless. Next time I'll try a smaller independent vet, theyre usually at least a little kinder to the animals.

Nice staff but way over priced to the point that they are ripping you off. After my recent routine treatment I called around 3 different vets locally and they quoted almost half the price of this place (including consultation) I queried the price here when they told me and they said that was the price. Myself and my neighbours are transfering to Vets who do not rip us off.
All the vets , nurses and reception staff are great. It feels like a big family. Being coming for years and it is all first name terms, which makes you feel very comfortable. And my late GSD and my 2 ...

I had my puppy put down here Friday because he was having seizures and his back end kept paralysing and he was in sooo much pain. The nurses/vets were so understanding we were aloud to say goodbye feed him treats and they let us wait in our car while they put him to sleep because it was too much for us to handle they then carried him out in the blankets I had took in. They put him out of his misery and they helped us a lot too when we cried the lady at the desk offered us tissues they were so supportive. so thankyou very much everyone at ash veterinary surgery xx

I've used Ash vets for over 10 years and they've seen us through good times and bad with all our pets. All the staff on the practice are professional and I've never had a bad experience with any of them.
Having 2 elderly cats each with long term conditions we visit the practice very often and are now on first name terms with all the staff.
The main reason we use the practice is because we trust the vets to give us proper advice and they will always put the pets needs first.
I cannot recommend this practice highly enough and anyone on the area who cares about their pets welfare should visit them

I was actually at the vets when the very rude aggressive man who has wrote a review below was at the vets.That's all I can say is well done to reception for dealing with this angry nasty man in a very professional and respective way.Sometimes the customer isn't always right and on this occasion he wasn't. I've been using this vets for quite some time and wouldn't go anywhere else .They are friendly professional and fantastic people who treat their clients and the animals with the upmost respect. Would recommend these vets to everyone!!

We came to have our dog micro-chipped under the free scheme the vet service is offering, which cannot be faulted. We were waiting some time, at which point my father asked why we were being made to wait when numerous customers who came in after us went straight in to be seen. We said we thought it was because we weren't paying we were being treated as a second class customer. The receptionist told us at this point, if we didn't like it, there's the door, go somewhere else and pay. Now I think the free service is fantatic, but even if customers aren't paying they should still be offered good service. Worst was that when he manager arrived back from a break, the receptionist was unprofessional, she instantly said Oh I'm glad your back, I have an awkward customer. The manager came to speak to us and we explained we thought we were being treated badly because we weren't paying, and the manager said that would never happen. We said, well your receptionist just told us there's the door, at which point the receptionist lied denying she had ever said such a thing. Disgraceful behaviour from someone who should be more professional, may not have paid for this service, but I would now never pay to use the service at Ash's, and I will never visit that vet again.

We've visited Ash Veterinary on two of their sites, our local clinic in Mountain Ash and their base at Merthyr Tydfil, at both we've received excellent treatment and service. They've cared for our rabbit Frollo for over a year now, he's a member of their monthly club, gets regular check ups and vaccinations and has had his castration done by them, all with excellent care and after treatment.
I can't recommend them highly enough, excellent service, friendly staff, a wealth of information and support and a warm smile every time you visit.

We've visited Ash Veterinary on two of their sites, our local clinic in Mountain Ash and their base at Merthyr Tydfil, at both we've received excellent treatment and service. They've cared for our rabbit Frollo for over a year now, he's a member of their monthly club, gets regular check ups and vaccinations and has had his castration done by them, all with excellent care and after treatment.
I can't recommend them highly enough, excellent service, friendly staff, a wealth of information and support and a warm smile every time you visit.
