The stress of an ill pet is (as you probably know) unbelievable and so it's great to have a vet who's sympathetic and lovely. My cat, being a battleaxe and made of iron, hasn't visited the vets in years but when she stopped eating and drinking last year it was panic stations at Maddox towers to get her an appointment. We rang up first thing Monday morning and luckily they did their best to fit her in the same day. I can't even do that at my own human doctor's surgery. It is only a small practice and slightly disconcertingly the examination area is just sort of cordoned off with a screen. The receptionist was sweet and very helpful though and the vet himself a sort of eccentric Patrick Moore type. For a quick prod and a shot of antibiotics it cost me about £15 and I can confirm that within a few days my cat was back to her lovely self again. Read Less
