Barnsley Vets4Pets

Barnsley, South Yorkshire
General Info
At Vets4Pets we know your pet is a much loved part of the family and you want them to enjoy a long, healthy life. This is why our veterinary teams, made up of animal loving experts, firmly believe in providing the highest level of care and treating every pet they see like they would their own.
Every Vets4Pets practice is equipped with the latest in technology, which means we can offer your pets the personalised care they need. Our practices are also designed to make your pet’s time with us as comfortable as possible; just like kids don’t always like going to the dentist, we know pets don’t always like going to the vets! Our waiting areas are light and spacious (and with floors that can cope with little accidents) and we also have separate dog and cat wards so your pet can recuperate more comfortably after any treatment.
Our vets will explain all clinical terms so you fully understand what is happening to your pet and you are fully involved in their treatment plan. This also includes being completely transparent in our pricing, so you can make an informed choice on the treatment that you want your pet to receive.
Come and see for yourself at your local Vets4Pets, why not take a practice tour?

Yesterday I had the worse possible experience at the worse possible time. We had to make the heart breaking decision to end our dogs life yesterday. He was booked in for 1pm. We had arranged for the lovely Julie at Cawthorne pet crematorium to collect our boy afterwards and she met us in the car park. When making the appointment I asked that me and my partner could both be with him and I was assured we could. When we arrived I called to say we were there this was 12.50 At 1.30 nobody had come out to see us and our dog was suffering greatly. I stopped a nurse and she said someone would be out shortly . When the nurse came out she asked which one of us wanted to go in with him, I told her that i had arranged for 2 of us to go in. We were told only one of us could be with him so I asked if they could carry out the procedure in the car so we all could be with him. She went in to ask but came back with the very off handed manager. The attitude she had at such a sensitive time absolute stank. She said they couldn't come out to the car as the vet was shielding and none of the other vets were willing to change appointments with her so we should decide which one of us would be with him. At this point to lovely lady from the pet crematorium asked why it couldn't be carried out in the car to which Louise ( the manager) replied with who are you to question us. On following Louise into the practice she then said to the nurse I will call her this afternoon and give her a piece of my mind We went into to see our gorgeous boy one at a time and after some gentle persuasion the vet let my partner be present also. Julie from the pet crematorium collected our boy and if it hadn't of been for her, I don't think we would of got through the day. The vet care has been good here but the compassion from the manager was zero. why she has been given this role is beyond belief as she is totally heartless. We are not the only people to have experienced this from her as we were approached in the car park by another customer who said she had never witnessed anything like this and that the manager had also been off handed with her. I will now be looking for a new vets were compassion is shown. Making money has become the for front of vets for pets and this seems to be the most important thing to Louise. My advice would be to avoid this place and certainly the hard faced which that runs it. Read Less

Very rude staff. Not very caring towards animals in distress. I contacted another vet and was given good advice and prompt care. V4P should be ashamed of themselves

Poor poor poor. Only bothered about money not about the welfare of the animal. Ended up putting my dog to sleep.would never use again and would urge everyone else to think twice beige using.
