Doncaster Vets4Pets Edenthorpe

Doncaster, South Yorkshire
General Info
At Vets4Pets we know your pet is a much loved part of the family and you want them to enjoy a long, healthy life. This is why our veterinary teams, made up of animal loving experts, firmly believe in providing the highest level of care and treating every pet they see like they would their own.
Every Vets4Pets practice is equipped with the latest in technology, which means we can offer your pets the personalised care they need. Our practices are also designed to make your pet’s time with us as comfortable as possible; just like kids don’t always like going to the dentist, we know pets don’t always like going to the vets! Our waiting areas are light and spacious (and with floors that can cope with little accidents) and we also have separate dog and cat wards so your pet can recuperate more comfortably after any treatment.
Our vets will explain all clinical terms so you fully understand what is happening to your pet and you are fully involved in their treatment plan. This also includes being completely transparent in our pricing, so you can make an informed choice on the treatment that you want your pet to receive.
Come and see for yourself at your local Vets4Pets, why not take a practice tour?

Christine was downright rude and arrogant, a horrible woman who knows nothing about raw feeding and yet made me feel terrible about feeding my pup a raw diet that he has been used to since weaning from the breeder. he is healthy and happy and she completely dismissed me and told me i HAD to change his diet! he has already had his first vaccinations and the breeder paid for the second too so that he could continue with the Nobivac brand , hes had lepto 2 and she told me that they did lepto 4 and that i would have to start again, when i objected, she said they did have lepto 2. tried to sell me wormer and flea treatment and pro biotic even though i told her he didn't need it and said he needed worming now at 10 weeks. He has been wormed with panacur 10% at 2, 5 and 8 weeks and is now due at 12 and she said 'i don't know what rubbish you're using to worm him then but he needs worming now'. he doesn't! I will never use this branch again and will be making a formal complaint. I am so mad and upset. Also other staff were shouting at other dogs in the surgery which was totally wrong. Suffice to say, I walked out with no 2nd vaccination or any other product and have registered with another lovely vets. ****AVOID **** Read Less

For weeks we had been taking my dog here for various checkups and every time we went we got the vet to check a lump that had formed just below her elbow on her front leg and every time they said it was a "fatty lump" and not to worry. Only recently have we asked again and a vet did a biopsy to see what the lump actually was. They said they would ring us back with the test results, two days after they said they would ring, we still had no call. One night my dog couldn't sleep and was restless, licking the lump on her leg so we took her to an emergency vet service who checked her over and told us that it was very likely that the lump was cancerous and her gland was up on the side showing signs that it had also spread to her limphnodes. If the lump had been caught and removed earlier, we wouldn't be in this situation. Our only option now is to make her comfortable when we could've had her for many more years, im utterly ashamed in this pet service for its lack of trained vets as we saw at least four different vets who all said the same thing that the lump was "fatty tissue" when that was clearly not the case. May I add that the cost is immensely high for the quality of service you are getting if you wish to take your pet here, if you are concerned at all, do not put your pets life in their hands. It's a shame it was too late for my dog but i hope this message will encourage others to seek better vetinary advice as vets4pets is a poor service that should not be allowed to run. Read Less

My two cats have been registered at this practice for a couple of years. In general I have found this practice to be very expensive and things came to a head when I took my cats for their "annual vaccination and health check" today. I made the booking around a month ago and was quoted a total price of £59 for an "annual vaccination and health check" for both cats. During the course of the "health check" which lasted all of 30 seconds with each cat the vet informed me that one cat had an allergic reaction to fleas and would require two injections. The vet also told me I must also purchase flea treatment for both cats to take away with me. The vet was rude, reproachful to me and essentially bullied me into agreeing to all the extra treatment. The vet also did not carry out the vaccination treatment on the cat who had received the flea related injections. When I came to pay my bill the quoted £59 had risen to £126.13 and this was without one of the two vaccinations included in the original £59 quote. I didn't mind paying extra for the flea related injections but they had actually charged me for three such injections when the cat only received two. That was bad enough but the main bone of contention was that they also charged me an extra £30 + VAT for "Consultation" which as already stated consisted of the vet visually inspecting the cat for a mere 30 seconds. Not only does that work out at £3600 + VAT an hour in vets fees the so called "consultation" was surely part of the "health check" that was included in the initial quote. I have been ROBBED BLIND by this vets practice. When I politely queried the extra £30 + VAT charge with the receptionist after I had paid she just rudely snapped "we're running a business" and turned her back on me. I then attempted to continue the discussion and the receptionist turned round and bawled me out. At this point I walked out of the door. This was not only a very unnecessarily expensive experience but a very horrible one too. I was close to tears as I drove home. On a final note I would also have to question the competence of the vet as she mistook my 4.5 kilo well built tom cat for a female. Is this so called professional really worth £3600 an hour?
