My cat was diagnosed with cancer following an overpriced dental he is still here and I disputed the diagnosis. One particlar receptionist Paula Baines has been extremely rude to me on several occasions. when I reported this to practice manager Caroline Benson I regretted it she took the word of the staff member accused me of saying Paula Baines was lying which I did not and basically told me if I did not like it go elsewhere, also when I took their care package they insisted I pay all of it upfront which is incorrect..This woman Paula Baines had me trailing my poor cat to the vet despite him being recently seen as she did not give the correct information to the vet.She knew of his condition, the vet appologised as she was unaware of the circumstances.I did request to speak with vet nurses instead due to this but this woman remined rude and obstructive telling me they were busy. When they told me my cat was dying and I wanted to collect the flea and worm treatments all at once under the terms of the care package Paula Baines told me I had not paid yet which I had.My cat was not goingto be around to benefit from the package so I quite rightly wanted the items I had paid for.She was also very unpleasant to me when I forgot my phone stating how are you going to speak to the vet with no phone! I have no reason to lie about this and am disgusted at the lack of professionalism shown by the practice manager. She indicated her irritation when dealing with me but stating'that once again`I had contacted her to compain about my treatment by her staff.Avoid at all costs if in fact my cat does not have cancer there will be questions asked and claims made. Avoid at all costs!! Long story short, my dog had an ear infection in her left ear, I waited for a couple of days to see if it’s serious, it was so I contacted the vets to book her in. They’ve booked her in, went over, got her checked up and sent her home with allergy treatment as a trial, even though I said that I am sure that she has an ear infection. 10 days after she finished her treatment, her ear got worse so I contacted them to state that. They said that my dog would have to go back an re-pay for treatment and check up AGAIN because this time they might be able to find the infection. Obviously I was not happy with the fact that my poor dog suffered for so long, took her back and they didn’t charge me for the consultation, but still charged me for treatment, and admitted that my dog had an ear infection. Told them that in the meantime, my dog stopped eating and that she has bad diarheea with blood in it, they sent me home telling me that she is fine and that I should wait a couple of days and she should be fine. She wasn’t fine and ended up in emergency services over the weekend. I have put in a complaint and asked for my dog’s medical history to move her somewhere else, they were very rude and vocal about this situation, telling me that I should go slagg them off with bad reviews. Very poor service coming from the head vet, asked to speak with a manager and never been able to because apparently they are working from home. Read Less

my dog was seriously ill on going to Evolution they wanted between £700 and £800 for teeth extraction. I went to Goole for a second opinion and a serious operation to save her life. Truly appalling. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I took my Great Dane dog to see them on 2 August 2014. We got a cursory inspection from a young girl and I was surprised at the brevity and lack of communication. Her opening shot was "what's up with him?". I thought, "isn't one of us supposed to be a trained vet?" I explained that he displayed severe weight loss, wouldn't eat and was dripping water from his mouth. We were prescribed antibiotics, which had no effect. I returned on August 19th and saw a senior lady. She also failed to diagnose the problem and merely took blood tests, which came back as normal. I returned on August 20th and discussed matters with her before finally going off to the excellent vets at Howden, End Cottage Vets. Heidi diagnosed mouth cancer and put my dog to sleep on 21st August 2014. It is a common complaint in very large dogs and should have been readily diagnosed. There was 1 missing tooth, with a loss of bone above it, leading straight into the nasal cavity. 5 other front teeth were loose and unsupported by bone. Discussions with Evolution progressed and they admitted that they shouldn't prescribe antibiotics without doing microbiological testing first, but that is their normal routine. My poor dog suffered needlessly for 3 weeks, before I abandoned this awful practice and went to a proper vets. Read Less
