If I could give a zero I would. Never leave reviews but this time thought other people ought to know about their costs and the poor nursing and receptionist staff.

If I could give a zero I would. Never leave reviews but this time thought other people ought to know about their costs and the poor nursing and receptionist staff.
Today was my pups review at 6 months and the nurse who did it could have been someone off the street given how disinterested she was. Who does this job and doesn’t fuss and make a puppy feel comfortable!
To top it off I was charged £51 for 2 tablets which after checking elsewhere could have paid 2.5 x less for. Such a waste of time and money.
I called the practice to ask for my money back and was met with such an aggressive tone.
The vet I saw the first time was lovely and clearly loved her job and the animals she tends to but today their support staff really let the side down. Don’t bother, go elsewhere.

This Vets has gone down hill massively, where do I start. First they misdiagnosed our kitten with worms, and after 3 visits I had to push for them to do an x-ray which showed a serious issue very shor...
This Vets has gone down hill massively, where do I start. First they misdiagnosed our kitten with worms, and after 3 visits I had to push for them to do an x-ray which showed a serious issue very shortly after he had a vaccine from them, coincidence?
I was promised a call back from the manager but never received it, I asked them in writing if the vaccine could of caused our kitten to go down hill suddenly after he died, they never replied.
They took 10 days to get tests that were life or death for him because apparently its cheaper for the "corporate company" that own this practice now to ship tests together!
Our new vets have requested records 4 times, they've never been sent.
Overall, a shambles. Avoid!

I travel relatively far specifically to take my rabbits to Ark vets because of their staff qualifications in exotic animal and rabbit care. I've had some horror story experiences at other vets and I've found Ark to be incredibly knowledgable, friendly, and explain issues and options clearly. Sometimes I've had to chase up for updates when I've been promised a call, but I've always had things explained in full when I've got through (and I tend to think if they're not talking to me it's because they are caring for animals). I once lost a bunny which was very difficult but Ark did all they could and were very compassionate and I felt shared that journey with me, for which I am very grateful. The receptionists, Fiona and Ian are very good in particular. I trust Ark and would highly recommend to other animal lovers.

Cannot thank Richard enough for the care he gave to my little bunny Rhubarb. Unfortunately she wasn't strong enough to recover from her emergency surgery and I am completely heartbroken to have lost her at such a young age, but I can rest easy knowing that they did everything possible to try and save her. Would trust them with any of my other babies. Thank you.

The vets did a fantastic job of removing bone from my dogs oesphogaus. However the price they charged was a lot more than the estimate. The estimate came to just over 300 pound , or 935 if he required...
The vets did a fantastic job of removing bone from my dogs oesphogaus. However the price they charged was a lot more than the estimate. The estimate came to just over 300 pound , or 935 if he required surgery. The actual price was 1405 pounds without surgery. It was done via an endoscope. I cant thank them enough for succesfully removing the bone using an endoscope rather than doing open surgery . However I do feel I wasnt told fully of the cost until my dog was anaethetised and on the op table. I also feel I was charged a lot more than the original quote and I cannot afford these prices in the future

Fitted us in on Sunday after their appointments were taken up which was useful. Nice little vets, decent consultation fee so those visits that turn out to be you just worrying don't cost a fortune.

Only downside was that the receptionist was meaning to another member of staff about having to work after 12 on a Sunday, felt a but unprofessional. The vet we saw, however, was very friendly. Would definitely return.

No longer with this vet for very good reasons...they diagnosed our cat with renal failure, however after spending 100's of 's on medication and food for a special diet over a period of 4 years, we learnt (after moving to a different and far better veterinary surgery) that the cat did not have renal failure as diagnosed by Ark!! However, we left this surgery prior to learning our cat did not have renal failure as we were having to visit this vets every 3 month for a repeat prescription (which involved having to pay for a consultation fee each time on top of the prescription cost) as they would not give us a prescription for the renal tablets for any period longer than 3 months, when they could have given us a prescription (like the new vet did) which would last for up to 12 months for the renal tablets (which we've since learnt we didn't even need!!). We were also sick of, to put it bluntly, having to deal with the miserable receptionist (not sure if she still works there as we haven't visited for over a year). Considering taking legal action for the incorrect diagnosis and been charged 100's if not 1000's by this vet in consultation fees, prescriptions, medication and renal food that our cat never even needed!! All in all, if you want to blow your money (get ripped off) and get your pet dosed up on drugs it doesn't even need (or potentially cause it more harm) then go to Ark Vets...if however, you have a bit of common sense then avoid and look to take your pet elsewhere.

This Vets has gone down hill massively, where do I start. First they misdiagnosed our kitten with worms, and after 3 visits I had to push for them to do an x-ray which showed a serious issue very shortly after he had a vaccine from them, coincidence?

Cannot thank Richard enough for the care he gave to my little bunny Rhubarb. Fitted us in on Sunday after their appointments were taken up which was useful. Nice little vets, decent consultation fee so those visits that turn out to be you just worrying don't cost a fortune.
Only downside was that the receptionist was meaning to another member of staff about having to work after 12 on a Sunday, felt a but unprofessional. The vet we saw, however, was very friendly. Would definitely return.

No longer with this vet for very good reasons...they diagnosed our cat with renal failure, however after spending 100's of 's on medication and food for a special diet over a period of 4 years, we learnt (after moving to a different and far better veterinary surgery) that the cat did not have renal failure as diagnosed by Ark!! However, we left this surgery prior to learning our cat did not have renal failure as we were having to visit this vets every 3 month for a repeat prescription (which involved having to pay for a consultation fee each time on top of the prescription cost) as they would not give us a prescription for the renal tablets for any period longer than 3 months, when they could have given us a prescription (like the new vet did) which would last for up to 12 months for the renal tablets (which we've since learnt we didn't even need!!). We were also sick of, to put it bluntly, having to deal with the miserable receptionist (not sure if she still works there as we haven't visited for over a year). Considering taking legal action for the incorrect diagnosis and been charged 100's if not 1000's by this vet in consultation fees, prescriptions, medication and renal food that our cat never even needed!! All in all, if you want to blow your money (get ripped off) and get your pet dosed up on drugs it doesn't even need (or potentially cause it more harm) then go to Ark Vets...if however, you have a bit of common sense then avoid and look to take your pet elsewhere.
