I would give zero stars if I could arrogant vets who haven't got a clue how to treat animals. And receptionists who don't seem to have a clue how to use their brain cell.

They couldn't wait to X-ray and operate on my dog Even though they said he was overweight They also said his bloods were okay, even tho he hadn't had any They booked him in for operation 3 days after Getting it all wrong So I took him to vet in Chesterfield They couldn't understand the need for X-ray And advised short walks Gave him anti-inflammatory He was fine in less than 3 weeks No operation , no 3 months recovery No X-ray, no trauma, no cutting my dog up, no bill for nearly 2 thousand Carrick was highest cost for operation If he needed it, vet 4 pets chesterfield said they would book him in straight away, if it got worse, but they advised that operation was not necessary at this stage DONT USE CARRICK THEY ARE PROFIT FOCUSED NO PET CARE Read Less

Very poor service from a very rude female Vet. I understand that you may be busy and appointments are running behind and it's a inconvenience when someone turns up out of the blue with an emergency. But not to even give them a minute of your time and speak to them as if they are stupid while you walk away and telling the receptionist that she will have to go to Chesterfield ring and see what they say, isn't the way to keep clients. On a positive note 1st class treatment from the receptionist who was lovely and generally concerned about my pet. tried her hardest to help by speaking to Chesterfield. However it was a game of phone tag as it should have been a Vet to Vet conversation but turned in to both receptionists speaking to the Vets (on either end) in between consultations. To be told (after waiting an hour and half in the surgery) that it's too late and they can't do anything this evening, but to visit the out of hours vet and handed me a leaflet.Read Less

after having a lump removed from her neck last week (16th) meeka is doing great and back to her old self, carricks vets at clowne/ chesterfiled have kept me in informed of progress all the way and rang today to say the lump was just fatty tissue and nothing serious , (saved me worrying till her next check up on saturday when i expected the results) cant thank then enough for the care and attention they have given to meeka while in their care, ive been with this vets for quite a few years now and can recommend them to anyone - if your pets your baby then i can honestly say their health is safe in carricks vets hands - i would also recommend you join their puppy club, i joined meeka when she was a puppy and its been worth every penny thank you all so much Read Less
